Believe, Forgive Our Unbelief… A Late Presidents Day Prayer
On Monday morning (President’s Day), I was trying to write my post and I kept sensing I was to go to the morning mass at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Presque Isle, Maine. I thought it was odd as I am protestant-so I continued to try to write. Nothing, absolutely nothing was coming to mind. Then on my news feed on Facebook the priest that would be doing the morning mass popped up saying he was in the area and inviting his county friends to mass. I said God is this you? I had never met this priest, but had heard about his wonderful homilies. I hurriedly got ready and went to mass.
It was a beautiful homily and perfect for where we are in our nation today. Believe, forgive our unbelief has stayed etched on my mind since that morning.
I immediately thought about the prayer, I prayed, when Dewey Moede called one morning and had me pray for the upcoming election. I remember saying to Dewey, I see God bringing people together to fight issues and not each other as he recorded my prayer For God’s Glory Alone Ministries.
Now I must say this was odd, this has never happened before and I can’t quite wrap my mind around it yet-and I am hesitant to share. When I walked through the front doors and began to speak to a woman I knew and a man I had met previously-my phone started ringing bells. She told me nicely to turn my phone off and I went outside and did just that. (I thought I already had). Bells, why is it ringing bells. My phone doesn’t usually ring bells, I told her. She said we do here. We ring bells for the unborn.
I loved seeing the items they are collecting for the local pregnancy care center, as I entered their place of worship. I thank God for my Catholic brothers and sisters. Together, may we march on and believe for the issues of America. Lord, forgive our unbelief.
Father, thank you for our past presidents and I thank you for our new president. You are the God that puts people in position. Today, on behalf of the unborn, I pray bells will ring all over the United States and across this globe.
These precious lives that you knit together in their mothers womb have a destiny. I believe you are sounding the alarm. I pray people will come together and believe your Word. We join together today and ring the bell.
Forgive us Father when we bought into the worlds lies and please God forgive our unbelief. Strengthen our government God and may Your Word be the final authority in all that is done.
We pray a blessing over our President today. May you bless the working of his hands according to Your Word in (Deut.) 28:12. Father, strengthen his believe and forgive any of his unbelief, we pray. May he hear your voice clearly and hearken to it. Amen
Have a blessed day beautiful people, continue to pray for our President.
Mark 9:23-24 Everything is possible for one who believes. I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!
