Do you know how to obtain victory?
Let me ask you these questions this morning as I continue to learn, teach and preach from my studies.
The menu of temptations is growing in our society, many are caving in.
How much does your life reflect characteristics of a worldly Christian? Of a spiritual Christian?
Do you spend a greater percentage of time operating with your natural mind or your renewed mind?
Can you explain the reason for the struggle between the flesh and the Spirit? Do you know how to obtain victory?
Name the specific temptation you have in the area of the mind. What Scriptures apply to your situation?
What other means might you use to replace the temptation with beneficial thoughts?
Remember that Jesus was tempted in every way you are tempted, yet He overcame the temptation, Heb. 4:15. Temptation itself is not a sin, unless you dwell on it or act on it.
Pray for grace in your time of need. Heb. 4:16
Express your humility and your dependence on God by kneeling in prayer. James 4:10
Adopt God’s attitude and choose His response toward temptation. Proverbs 3: 5-6
