Lift Him Up!

Jesus draws men; all men, from everywhere.   In His drawing, we will have at least two choices to make; we will either love Him, or we will loathe Him, but we are drawn to Him, nonetheless.   What we do about His pulling, tugging, drawing, is always our choice.    Notice, there is no middle ground.   In the LORD’s own words:    “He that is not with me is against me. . .”  (Matthew 12:30)

We humans also are created with a drawing power.   Something within us draws our own Creator to us.   The Son of God, Jesus, was drawn by man to leave the glories of Heaven to take the lesser existence of humanity; to take the struggles, pains, fears, sufferings, and even death itself.    He endured all of this because something He created in man compelled Him to come to us for rescue.

“And being found in fashion as a man, He humbled Himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.  (Philippians 2:8)

Also, this drawing power placed in the man, pulls men together.   Man draws man.   We attract one another.  We communicate with one another, because of our inner hunger for community.   We gather in nations, tribes, villages, cities, neighborhoods, clubs, and organizations revealing that we are drawn to one another through a force beyond our understanding.   Do you not realize this must be the intention behind God choosing to win men by using men?

“And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.”                 (John 12:32)

Yes, this speaks of His being lifted upon the Cross, but after that He must be lifted up in testimony of His Cross before others.   Beloved believer, are you allowing God to use you to draw another toward Jesus?    Lift Him Up!   Lift Him Up!
