I have so many friends that are teachers….they pour their hearts out for our kids! I am heartbroken as to what has happened at Albuquerque Public Schools and over the entire sdtate, and continue to have a broken heart. Education in New Mexico is broken because of politics. It is a system that financially is out of control, it created a monster, a monster that just spends money and more money and now they find out there is none. Where did the money go? It certainly did not go to our kids and teachers. Teachers/parents/students protested outside of Albuquerque Public School headquarters yesterday. The protests are against the looming layoffs, pay cuts and class size increases because of the state budget shortfall while education reserved money is being used to balance the state budget. With all my heart and soul, I say all the answers to this are in the Bible, if people will take the time to seek God and His Word and Ways! Amen!
APS has built many fancy buildings and sports facilities, but what have our children gained from this?
