“By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went.” (Hebrews 11:8)
Has God ever led you in a direction where you had no idea where you were going? God help you if then someone asks you where you are going. You do not know for sure what you are going to do; the only thing you do know is that God knows exactly what He is doing, with and in you, and that is enough!
A frequent obstacle in the Church today is that Christians seem to have this voracious need to know the end result before they will commit to do. This could be brought about by our unending committees!
Persistently bend your posture towards God so that in all that you are doing, you trust Him completely. It will be this posture that keeps you in unceasing awe and astonishment, as you have no notion what God is going to do next!
For the true and faithful believer, each day becomes a “going out, not knowing” experience that builds your trust in Him. You come to know that God can take care of you.
Have you been inquiring of God what He will do with your life, your family, your job, your church, or your nation? He will not likely reveal what He is doing; He does, however, reveal to you Who He is. That revelation is to be the basis of your faith.
Do you believe in the God of the miraculous? Will you then yield your whole life to Him, surrendering to Him, not knowing, until you are no longer surprised at the things He does around you? There truly is victory in surrender!
