Today at the Capital: I have another Hero! Officer Felipe Melendez of the New Mexico State Police! Officer Melendez is part of the security detail at the NM State Capital. He is based in Farmington, but has been doing security at the Capital for 3 weeks! Has 2 more weeks to go. He has not been home in those 3 weeks! He sure misses his wife and children. Officer Melendez served two tours in Iraq was in the Army and National Guard. He told me it’s tough now that when so many people he pulls over in His duty as a patrolman are just plain rude. No routine traffic stops! I really beleive it is only right to have two officers on patrol together! Officer Melendez was so very nice to me, we had a great Godly discussion. Please pray for all Law Enforcement! Their job is more dangerous than ever!
Wherever you live in America, our heroes are face extreme danger constantly!
Almighty God we pray to you
In heaven up above
Watch over our dear police officers
And protect them with your love.
Please guide them as they keep us
safe both day and night
And hold them firmly in your care
should danger come their way.
Give them true strength and courage
As they serve til duty’s end
And one more thing to ask dear Lord
Protect their family and their friends.
In Jesus Almighty name we pray, Amen!
