Please Help Pastor Leonard and Family Help a Family in Need

As many of you know, Diana and I have taken in folks in the past that were in need,  such as a young girl who was expecting yet kicked out of her house (and helped her through pregnancy); a physically abused mother with 2 children; and numerous foreign exchange students.

Well, our family has again been called on to help, this time a homeless young girl with two children, no family involved in her life, not married, physically and verbally abused by her boyfriend, limited skills, no high school diploma. Our family has taken her in to help train her in familial skills, helped in finding a part time job (she’s looking for full time), working on her GED and helping her schedule parenting classes through CareNet but there are multitude of needs in her life.  She has very few clothes for herself and for her 2 children (2 years old and 6 mos).  Our family is temporarily housing her and we have found her a car that my sister is donating.

WE ARE ALSO ASKING FOR YOUR HELP:  After much prayer, if the Lord Jesus lays it on your heart to help, here are the needs.  We are seeking individuals that will donate gift cards from Walmart, Target, Groceries, etc. You may send the cards to the address below.  If you choose to help by donations you can go to our web site and click on “donate” or send check to:  Navarre Ministries, 6715 92nd Street, Lubbock, Texas 79424.  ONE HUNDRED PER CENT OF GIFT CARDS AND CONTRIBUTIONS WILL GO FOR HER CARE.  We will continue to keep you updated on this need.

As we remember Jesus’ words from Matthew 25:35-36, 40 “For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me…and the King will answer, Truly I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these, you did it to me”
