So many are heart broken today in New Mexico as Democrats blocked a bill to come to the aid of God’s babies. Democrats in the state House on Thursday blocked Republican efforts to pass a law requiring doctors to provide medical care if an infant is born alive during an attempted abortion.
Elisa Martinez of New Mexico Alliance for Life wrote this on her Facebook page:
A #saddayinNM, HB 37 was killed in committee. This means that infants who survive abortions will continue to be left to die–or worse. Remember these names: Rep. Eliseo Alcon, (McKinley, Cibola) Rep. Deborah Armstrong ( ABQ) and Rep. Patricia Caballero (ABQ) voted against this life-saving, common sense, humane protection for our most vulnerable citizens. Laura Rosecrans of The HUB of NM: The Democrats purposely changed the room we were to meet into the House Chamber and scheduled the next session 3 hours from the last one making it impossible to hear the other two. When Representative Youngblood addressed this to the committee chairman and representative Montoya asked to at least hear the witnesses that had driven from different areas in New Mexico to testify the chairman refused to listen and shut it down. I pray the people of God will finally wake up and get these evil people out of office next election. Michael Sanchez is gone but he left behind many of his minions. God have mercy on their souls.

Special Service and Pro-Life Bills
Santa Fe, New Mexico, March 5,: This Sunday March 5 at 10 am two pro-life bills will be heard: HB220 – Partial and Late-Term Abortion and HB221 – Parental Notification of Abortions. At 9 am, Pastor Brian Alarid from Passion Church will lead a special 1-hour service in the Rotunda at the New Mexico State Capitol prior to the hearings.
We are asking Christians to join us for the service and hearings to stand for life. Proverbs 31:8, “Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves.” Proverbs 24:11, “Rescue those being led away to death; hold back those staggering toward slaughter.”

BIBLE MEDITATION:
“Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.” Matthew 5:4
DEVOTIONAL THOUGHT:
Jesus purposefully sequenced the Beatitudes in this order because this is the way we grow in sanctification. First, we see our bankrupt condition (Matthew 5:3) then it breaks our heart (Matthew 5:4).
This word “mourn” speaks of the strongest kind of lamentation, not just a sentimental tear. What we need today are men and women who are broken over their sin.
Proverbs 14:9 says, “Fools make a mock at sin: but among the righteous there is favor.” Jesus speaks of this favor when He says that we will be comforted. The Holy Spirit is our Comforter who will strengthen us when we are broken over our sin.
ACTION POINT:
Do you know where we ought to be? On our face before God in bitter tears over the barrenness of our lives, the coldness of our hearts, and the wickedness of our attitudes. And what will be the outcome? We will be comforted.
