We are in constant prayer for the state of New Mexico. The financial and moral crisis that the state is in does not go away with the adjournment of the Legislature. The killing of babies through abortion continues in the state, as the culture of death continues. We praise God for the unity that is building in the state among the Body of Christ. Some pro-death bills were stopped in the session! PTL!!! There is much unfinished work in the state. Governor Martinez says the Legislative session was a waste of time. The Governor has vowed to veto a tax increase proposal and call the Legislature back to work. ABQ Journal Report
I am sadden by the plan to increases taxes in any way in the state. How can you increase taxes in a down economy? A state with the nations worst unemployment rate? It seems that so many politicians take the easy road, “let’s increase taxes!”
The New Mexico economy is in very sad shape, it will not improve with increased taxes. By the way, what have you folks done with all the money? I have a teacher friend in Albuquerque that is teaching from 20-year-old text books?
How do you tax people that have no money? How do you tax businesses that are struggling to survive?
God will not bless the state of New Mexico until we repent and stop killing His babies through abortion.
Repent and stop killing His babies, and watch God restore the state.
PS: You cannot tax yourself out of immorality, and you cannot spend yourself out of immorality…..all you have to do is accept our Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior.
Romans 6:23
For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Galatians 6:7-8
Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap. For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.
Proverbs 14:12
There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way to death.
1 John 1:9
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Jude 1:7
Just as Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding cities, which likewise indulged in sexual immorality and pursued unnatural desire, serve as an example by undergoing a punishment of eternal fire.
