Trusting in God For Your Life By Jeanne Theriault
Noah trusted God, so he built an ark
Abraham trusted God, so he set out to go to an unknown land
David trusted God, and he confronted Goliath
What are you trusting God for?
Every time God speaks there is an action response from his people.
Lets look at Noah, a man who walked with God, he knew who God was and God spoke to him and told him to built an ark. Noah did not look at the situation around him, though he knew he was in the desert. But instead, he obeyed God and built the ark. God saved him and his family.
When we learn to obey his word concerning our lives he fulfills his promise
Jeremiah 7:23 I gave you this commandment obey me, and I will be your God, and you will be my people. Walk in all the ways I command you that it may go well with you.
Abraham, by faith when called to go to a place he later receive as his inheritance, obeyed and went, even though he did not know where he was going. By faith he made his home in the promised land like a stranger in a foreign country. (Hebrews 11:8)
David was a young man who had faith and courage when faced with Goliath . He was willing to risk all for the name of the God of Israel. He was a man after God’s own heart. He knew that God would deliver him from Goliath. And so he did.
Do you have giants that you face in your life?
Never look at the situation but look to God in his word about your situation and I guarantee ,he will come through for you . God watches over his children, he will never abandoned us.
Deuteronomy 31:8 The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you. He will never leave you nor forsake you.
God speaks through his word, through our prayers, seeking his face and meditating on his promises. These people trusted God for there life, and God came through. I believe that God can do the same for us today. Trusting in God will be proven by your action, on how you respond to your situation. Do you have fear, doubt? This is when you have to fully put your faith in God. It is a command that he has given us.
Mark 11:22 Have faith in God.
Hebrews 11:6 Without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.
Just remember never doubt God’s word for your life
Proverbs 29:25 Fear of man will prove to be a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord is kept safety.
Psalm 37:5-6 Commit your way to the Lord trust in him and he will do this. He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn the justice of your cause like the noonday sun.
Trusting in God simply means to surrender all to him. Each day we must lay aside our plans and to know who we are in Christ, trusting him for our lives for his ways are higher than our ways. When we put God first he will be faithful to his word.
Proverbs 16:9 In his heart a man plans his course, but the Lord determines his steps.
Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you , declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
If God did it for Noah, Abraham and David he will also do it for you. Amen
