2 Timothy 3:16-17 All scripture is God breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking , correcting and training in righteousness 17 So that man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every work.
The bible is essential for knowing God and his will for our lives. By reading God’s word you can find direction for your life and learn how to best serve the Lord who gave his life for you.
We all know there is a God, but do we know who he is? And what he has for us and what he can do?
He is our Savior
John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son that whoever believes shall not perish but have eternal life.
His word guides our every steps
Psalm 119:105 Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path
He’s the I Am, our provider
Philippians 4:19 And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus.
He’s our friend
John15:13 Greater love has no one than this , that he layed down his life for his friends 14 You are my friends if you do what I command you.
He’s the way, truth and life
John 14:6 I am the way and the truth and the life
He’s the bread of life
John 6:47 I tell you the truth, he who believes has everlasting life 48 I am the bread of life
He’s the light of the world
John 8:12 I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.
His word gives us peace
Psalm 29:11 The Lord gives strength to his people , the Lord blessed his people with peace.
His word forgives and heals
Psalm 103:3 Who forgives all your sins, and heals all your diseases.
God honors and blesses all to those who love his word . God will reveal his heart when we believe and obey.
Reading his word is our spiritual food. Allow the Holy Spirit to teach you and guide you. The living word of God has the power to change your life.
He longs for his children to spend time with him in his word. His word will strengthen and encourage you. Start your day in prayer and ask God to speak to you through his word as you read scriptures and meditate over the verses that impact you and listen for answers.
John 15:7 If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish and it will be given you .
Joshua 1:8 Do not let this book of the law depart from your mouth, meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.
Lord take us deep into your word as we meditate day and night. Give us hunger and a desire for your word, for it is our bread of life for the soul. As we open our lives to you fill us with all knowledge and wisdom and give us spiritual understanding and truth. Let our hearts be pleasing to you for we want to know you in fullness and power. Amen
