Part 2 We make choices, but what does God say? By Karen Rowe May 5, 2017

Part 2:  We make choices, but what does God say?

Let’s explore our faith!

Jesus was unwavering in his faith!

Think of how it feels when we know we have a need. Jesus felt hunger. Yet Jesus would not disobey the Holy Spirit’s mind to feed his human body!

Think it how it feels to be pressured on all sides as Jesus was when the Holy Spirit led him into the Wilderness to be tempted for 40 days.

Jesus was not willing to trade eternal glory for a temporary fix; when Jesus knew “This too shall pass!”

The message today is one of encouragement; that Jesus knew who he was; and so can we know who we are to God.  When tempted, Jesus remembered who he was to God; and responded, “It is written…”!  When we are tempted to doubt our value to God, remember who you are to God; God has not forgotten you.

Temptations are challenges to our faith; with opportunities to grow in faith!  God loves you my friend, I assure you, because I know that God loves me; and I know this love God has for the world!  I assure you that if you seek God 1st, you will discover this love God has for you and the whole world, for whosoever might believe.

Check out the 3rd temptation Jesus faced and overcome; and think of all “the pacifiers’ Satan has offered in this world to feed our human desires and fears … perhaps a trickery of a safe way of escape to what Jesus has already delivered us from?  And for goodness sake, the KINGDOM of God has COME:

Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them;

And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.

10 Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.

The message to you today is one of encouragement:  First, yes, we have to be born again in our spirit through Jesus Christ whom saved our souls; and saved us from spiritual death. That is to believe Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the Living God.  Jesus, He died, was buried, and three days later after revealing the Vision God has for the world to those who died before Christ had come, Jesus was risen to LIFE in every way, by the power of the Holy Spirit !

God has provided the Miracle to Believe!

So the message today is one of encouragement first to believe in the love that God has for you !

And for those of us who have known and believe in the love God has for us, this is a message is also of encouragement to abide in the love of God, because God is love; and he who abides in love abides in God and God in him 1 John 4:16.

In the title of the message today, “We make Choices, but what does God Say,” is of a message today in itself.  In prayer, I woke up this this message: “We make choices but what does God say?”

In closing, friends sometimes we make choices and give God credit; or blame God, when it was simply a choice that we have made. We need to understand the Free Will mind that God gave us in our human creation.  We make choices; but what does God say?

And more importantly, we need to know and understand that the Holy Spirit has a Mind that we need to learn and be taught how to come into “obedience to the scriptures,” because we trust God as our source for everything.

Learning to “Be still and know God is God”. Learning to trust that God will meet our needs according to his riches and glory and grace. Hallelujah to the Lamb of God!  Thank you Jesus! That when Temptation comes our way; that we do not get into God’s way of all the blessings that God has set before us.

God did not let Jesus down. God is faithful.  God has not let you down; God says, “I am your Father, waiting on you to choose to come home to Me.”

End Part 2

“Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me (John 14:1, KJV).”

Love in Christ,

Karen Rowe
