Netanyahu Meets With Putin

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was in Sochi, Russia on Wednesday for a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin. “We cannot forget for a single minute that Iran threatens every day to annihilate Israel,” Netanyahu said during their pre-meeting press appearance. “It (Iran) arms terrorist organizations, it sponsors and initiates terror.”

Iranian Nuclear Chief Boasts of Enrichment Capabilities

Ali Akbar Salehi , who heads up Iran’s renegade nuclear program and is a vice president in the regime which rules in Teheran, boasted on Tuesday that he could “resume 20 percent enrichment (of Uranium to weapons grade) in at most five days.” He added that he had no desire to do such a thing, desiring instead to stay within the parameters of the 2015 JCPOA nuclear deal in order to retain the benefits the Islamic Republic accrued from it.

Report: North Korea Smuggled Chemical Weapons to Syria

A report submitted to the UN Security Council earlier this month and leaked to the media on Monday gives shocking details of North Korean efforts to ship illegal chemical weapons materials to the Assad regime in Syria. “The panel is investigating reported prohibited chemical, ballistic missile and conventional arms cooperation between Syria and the DPRK (North Korea),” the report says in part.

Switzerland Cuts Funding to Terror-Supporting NGO

Switzerland’s Foreign Ministry announced recently that it is cutting its funding for the Ramallah-based Palestinian NGO Human Rights International Humanitarian Law Secretariat because of its ties to terrorist organizations. “This is an important first step in NGO funding accountability by the Swiss Foreign Ministry, and reflects the recent legislation on this issue,” Prof. Gerald Steinberg, the president of the Jerusalem-based NGO Monitor, told The Jerusalem Post on Monday.

Netanyahu Appeals to Privacy Rights in Legal Battles

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, under pressure on multiple fronts, pushed back on Tuesday by issuing a petition to the High Court of Justice to review earlier rulings demanding that he turn over records of private phone conversations with the owner and managing editor of the Israel Hayomnewspaper. Netanyahu’s petition says that the rulings set a dangerous legal precedent which serves to erode the right to privacy.
