You Can Pray It…

This morning I was thinking how true this song really is. Unless you have experienced the faithfulness of God for yourself, it’s hard to believe.
Today, I wanted to ask you to pray (talk to your creator) about anything that is on your heart and mind. It doesn’t need to be eloquent words, in fact you don’t even have to get the words right. I remember the first time I prayed out loud. It was in front of a small group. I was so mixed up and it didn’t make a bit of sense, but God looks at the heart. I just loved the people and wanted to add my prayer. A woman that I have always admired and looked up to, her daughter was pregnant. This family was walking an unexpected journey.
On Friday of that same week, I had dinner at the local Bonanza Restaurant. An elderly man that was in attendance in another small prayer group that night, said across the salad bar, hey Angel, I heard you prayed out loud for the first time Wednesday night. I nodded my head and smiled as I knew how mixed up it was.
I chuckle as I remember that evening (it must be nearly twenty two years ago now), that Wednesday evening, the night I couldn’t even put the right sentences together. I have watched as the power of prayer unfolded in this child’s life as he grew up and graduated from college recently. He has a praying Grandmother and his mom joined the praying band too. I have watched as God Himself unfolded the lives of this family. Faithful is the only word that comes to mind this bright sunny morning. God is faithful.
I’d like to think I have improved in my prayers. I love to pray God’s Word (the Holy Scriptures) back to Him. Even if I mess it up, I am positive He knows my heart and answers accordingly. It’s the same for you. We don’t have to get it all right, just talk to Him (pray) every day. He longs to communicate with you.
Father, you know our day before it even begins. The days you have ordained for us to fulfill our destiny. Thank you for ordering our footsteps today. Thank you for hearing and answering our prayers. (Tell Him whatever you would like, share your heart.)
Thank you for being a God of love. Thank you Jesus for seeing us through. Amen
Have a blessed day beautiful people. Keep on praying.
Isaiah 65:24 Before they call I will answer; while they are still speaking I will hear.
