A personal word of gratitude from Jim Denison
Dr. Jim Denison |September 1, 2017
Dear friends,
I am writing to thank you for your amazing generosity. As you know, I announced in this morning’s Daily Article that our ministry was offering a $25,000 matching grant to help those devastated by Hurricane Harvey.
All contributions are going directly to Texas Baptist Men, a wonderful ministry helping those in need with food, childcare, showers, and disaster relief. This video shows their ministry in action. They share the gospel with everyone they serve, honoring Jesus as they help those in need.
Here’s the amazing news: As of this afternoon, 467 donors have given $133,365. With our ministry’s matching gift, we will be able to give $158,365 to serve those devastated by this tragedy. If you would still like to give, you can click here, knowing that your contribution will go directly to those in need.
In the coming days, we look forward to sharing the final results along with stories of lives changed by your generosity. In the meantime, know that God is using your gifts to share his love and spread his word. You are the “body of Christ,” the visible manifestation of Jesus’ ministry in our world (1 Corinthians 12:27).
It is a tremendous honor to share this ministry with you every day.
