President Donald Trump on Thursday denied an assertion by the Democratic leaders in Congress that they had an agreement to preserve protections for young immigrants living illegally in America and to bolster U.S.-Mexico border security, but without his coveted wall for now.

The top House and Senate Democrats said Wednesday they had reached agreement with President Donald Trump to protect thousands of younger immigrants from deportation and fund some border security enhancements — not including Trump’s long-sought border wall.

Trump: No deal on DACA By Kyle Balluck President Trump early Thursday pushed back on a statement by Democratic leaders in Congress, saying there is no deal to protect young immigrants. “No deal was made last night on DACA,” he said on Twitter, referring to the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program.
“Massive border security would have to be agreed to in exchange for consent. Would be subject to vote,” he added.
