I am so disappointed in today’s America. Once, we were more like a family. We often disagreed, but we were rarely mean and disrespectful in our disagreements. Once, we respected religion. Once, we fought common enemies together, and further bonded by the blood of our losses to the family unit. Once, we celebrated, or not, religious holidays without feelings being hurt. Once, we honored the Office of the President, no matter who was there. Once, we had pride. Once, we honored the flag. Once, we sang the patriotic songs. Once, we paraded our national pride on our main streets during special days. Once, we were America. I wonder who we shall be tomorrow.
