Does God Really Give Back To Us?
Good morning beautiful people, good morning. I love this time of year. Even though the leaves have fallen and we prepare to receive the white fluff from above (snow), it is a time to reflect on how much we have to be thankful for. Christmas shopping has begun and Christmas trees and lights are appearing everywhere. Oh, what a beautiful time of year.
I was praying and talking with God a short time ago about the gifts I received at Christmas as a child. One special Christmas my uncle gave me a radio. I remember the white round radio and how unique and special it was to me. I loved that radio. My sister who was mentally retarded wanted the radio. So to keep peace and make her happy, I gave it to her.
This last year as I spoke to the Lord about different losses that I personally have taken, I remembered the white radio. I started to talk to Him about it. I said God I loved her greatly, but it was difficult growing up with her. I gave her the best gift I ever received as a child, my white radio. Immediately it popped in my mind. Didn’t I give that back to you? I began to laugh right out loud, because yes, Jesus gave it back to me. I don’t own a white radio, but I am on the radio. His ways are so much higher than our ways and His thoughts are so much higher than ours. The way He gives back to us may look different but it is always greater.
I have been talking with Him about some other losses I have taken, that were very dear to my heart, more than the radio. Not in financial means, but in other ways. I wait expectantly to see how He restores back to me the years the locusts have eaten. If He had a plan to give me back the radio, I am totally sure He has a plan all lined up for the other losses. He is a mighty God.
He is no respecter of persons and He will restore back to you what has been lost. Let’s talk to Him about that today.
Father, thank you that you are the God that repays. Your Word tell us you restore the years the locusts and the cankerworms have eaten. You care about the small things as well as the big things. You even cared about the radio that I never even asked you to give back to me. You are an amazing Heavenly Father.
Today, many across this globe have suffered great losses. Devastation of relationships, finances, homes, dreams, vows and the list seems endless. Thank you for restoring to them everything beyond what they could ever think or imagine. You are a God of restoration. Yes, Yes You are!
