ABQ Mayor Keller: “Acknowledge The Challenges and Put Away Those Rose-Colored Glasses”

I awoke this morning around 4:30am to get my day started here at FGGAM. Merry Christmas to all! Visits to our website have been very high in November and it looks like the trend is continuing here into the 2nd day of December.

We try hard to bring you the “news you need to know” and cut through all the nothing noise of the world. It is getting more and more difficult to cut through all the ‘he said, she said news of the day’. I have been a newsman since 1978 starting with the Minnesota State News Network while I went to Brown Radio/TV School in Minneapolis. I have never seen such a mess in the news reporting business. Old fashion news reporting, just the facts, is hard to find.

I managed the news staff at WFRN Christian Radio in South Bend/Elkhart, In. for years. At the time it was one of the largest news staffs in Christian radio. We had a 6 person staff. WFRN radio, owned and operated yet this day by the Moore family, will go down in history as one of the most successful Christian radio stations in America.

We take no sides in news reporting, we are always with our LORD, HIS side is the only way to the truth.

We will continue to be led by our Lord as to how do what HE wants us to do.

This morning I would like us all to come together and pray for new Mayor Tim Keller of Albuquerque. We need to put the Mayor, his lovely family and all City staff before the Lord. We need to pray for wisdom and safety for all.

Albuquerque now has set a record for murders in a year, 71 one souls killed thus far in 2017. We pray for all family and friends. Crime is way out of control in the Duke City.

Mayor Keller said we need to acknowledge the challenges we face as a city and put away the rose-colored glasses.

“Tonight we celebrate, tomorrow we reflect, and Monday we get to work.”

ABQ Journal Story

I pray that the Body of Christ in Albuquerque will come together and cover the Mayor, his family and all City employees in prayer.

And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people. Ephesians 6:18

I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them. 1 Timothy 2:1

“Don’t plow your way through life, pray your way through”

Life Verse for Founding Pastor Dewey Moede:

“But my life is worth nothing to me unless I use it for finishing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus—the work of telling others the Good News about the wonderful grace of God.” -Acts 20:24

Jesus is the answer, not politics.
