The Albuquerque Journal is reporting that New Mexico fell to 12th from being number one in America for fatal overdoses. The rate in top-ranked West Virginia soared from 41.5 per 100,000 in 2015 to 52 in 2016, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reports.
Nationwide, overdose death rates continued to rise across all age groups and among both men and women in 2016.
We are praying over this tragic problem in America. It is a very sad commentary on our society. We all need to help each other.
