Merry Christmas!!! We love you all!
This is from our wonderful friend Darlene Quiring of Mt. Lake, Minnesota………
THE BABY THAT MADE THE DIFFERENCE
Babies have an uncanny record of changing history. The year is 2000 B.C. Moses is found and lifted from the bulrushes, brought to the court of Egypt, reared as a Prince under the watchful eye of his mother.
A thousand years later the baby Samuel made all the difference to the lives of Hannah and Elkanah. He, too, made a major contribution to the history of Israel during the difficult days. There was Isaac, John the Baptist and others.
Christ affected the lives of multitudes like Bartimaeus, Zacchaeus, Nicodemus and Paul . . . and us. On that first Christmas Day, if we could have stood with Joseph and the shepherds looking into the manger, I wonder what would have been our reaction if suddenly a Voice had said: “See these chubby hands and feet? Very soon they will be nailed to a cross! Look at the little brow. Soon it will wear a crown of thorns! His cheeks will be slapped and spit upon. See the baby’s side? A spear will soon be thrust therein! His tender delicate body will be bruised and beaten.” As one man we would have lifted up our hands and voices in holy consternation and said “NO!” It couldn’t happen to Him. But it did.
This is the Baby that makes all the difference in the world. He is now King and Lord over all. He is Savior and Healer and Baptizer.
Thank you so much Darlene!
Just some of my thoughts as to what the Lord has been showing me……..
The word that the Lord has given me is consistency. It excites me to be more consistent in all I do! More of HIM less of me
It’s so exciting to serve the Lord everyday!
Consistency is the Word that the Lord has given me. I will be more consistent in all my ways as I follow my Lord’s ways and Words.
Consistency is the Word that the Lord has given me. I will be more consistent in my calling from God.
