Good morning beautiful people. Don’t you just love this time of year? I just love everything about Christmas. I have had the privilege to pray for many people over this past year. One thing that we all had in common is we are not perfect. We all had messed up in some way. The enemy of our souls likes to bring condemnation to people that aren’t perfect. That would be all of us folks, all of us. Even if you think you have been real good and you may have been, you are still in need of a savior. We all need a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
It seemed a bit strange at first, when I would ask people if they could forgive themselves for not being perfect. Then I started thinking about it myself. I can get really hard on myself when I mess up. Oh, how I wish I was perfect, but I am not. We are all in the same boat. As I journeyed on, I would have the privilege to meet and pray with someone else. Ironically enough this was the common thread in the lives of people. No one measured up, no one good enough on their own.
Now don’t get me wrong there are consequences for our sins and some mistakes are more costly than others. One thing for sure is this, according to the Word of God in Romans 3:23 All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. That’s you and that’s me. Thank God for His mercy and His grace.
The good news is the gospel of Jesus Christ. He paid the price, a price He did not owe, and we owed a price we could not pay. So today give yourselves a brush on each shoulder and say a prayer of thanksgiving that you don’t need to be perfect. Forgive yourself for being human and not doing everything perfectly right. Take the pressure off, it feels good to walk in freedom. I am sure you will revisit this place again before your final meeting in the air.
Look in your mirror today and say thank you God that there is therefore no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. (Romans 8:1). Lift your head up high and say thank you God that your shield surrounds me and you are the lifter of my head. (Psalm 3:3)
Enjoy your day beautiful people, you are loved. If you question His love for you in any way please read the book of John in your Bible. He loves You!
Father, thank you for your son Jesus. Thank you that He paid the price we could never pay. Lord, we want to do what’s right at all times, but unfortunately we don’t get it right all the time. Thank you for the grace to forgive others and forgive ourselves.
Today, all across this globe, I declare condemnation is breaking off of God’s people. There is no perfect person here on earth. Whatever they have done wrong, whatever sins have been committed, the cross has made a way for them.
Your love for mankind is so amazing. May your people truly feel the love of Christ today wherever they journey. Together, as Christians we thank you for changing us from glory to glory.
Father, may many come to know you today as Jesus, lover of their soul.Your heart is that none would perish, that’s our heart too. (John 3:16) Let the good news spread like wildfire all across this globe today by every means possible. The good news, the best news, breaking news, the news of Jesus Christ. Amen
