Darkness Must Flee, Light Has Moved In…
Good Morning Beautiful People. It is true children become what they see. Yesterday morning, my granddaughter was here as I was doing my morning devotion, prayer and writing time. She was an early riser too as she spent the night at grandma’s house. I sat her at the kids table beside my dining room table and gave her the Jesus Storybook Bible an old computer that really doesn’t work and a piece of paper and something to write with. I sat at my dining room table as I prayed for the youth of this nation. I would flip through my Bible looking at different verses and pen some thoughts, and she would look at me and do the same thing. It was so cute to watch her as she turned the pages in the Bible looking at the different pictures. She would write on the paper, it was such a precious sight to see as she is only 22 months old. Oh, the innocence of children.
As I fasted and prayed the first three days of this year, I sensed an urgency to pray for the youth of this nation. Once again, I’d like to ask you to join your faith with mine and let’s petition God Himself for turning the tide of America’s youth. How does the innocence of these precious children get derailed? How is the enemy of their souls getting them, when we have power over the enemy. We need to step up our fight on our knees.
Father, thank you for the gift of children. They are such a blessing from above. We recognize we have a real enemy and if he can’t steal them in the womb (abortion) he targets these precious children. His job is to rob, kill and steal. (John 10:10) You, oh God, have come to give them life and life more abundantly. We declare life over the youth of this nation. So many are losing hope, so many drawn into the enemies camp.
Father, forgive us as parents and grandparents where we have failed to teach them the ways of the Lord. Forgive us when we haven’t done everything just right. Thank you for mercy and grace. In Isaiah 52:12 you tell us you will go before us and you also will be our rear guard. Thank you that you have us hemmed in. You have seen everything, there is nothing hidden from your watchful eye. Today, we petition you on behalf of our youth here in America. We ask for every issue that the enemy has created to destroy them be broken in the name of Jesus. We speak to the mountain of addiction and we declare and decree you must come down. Our God has given us authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and together we join forces and break the head off of the snake of addiction. Hopelessness, overdoses, alcohol, drugs, and the list goes on. Jesus rebuke you.
Today, we call forth the plan of God for our youth. We declare they will fulfill their God given destinies. For it is written, It is not by might, nor by power but by Your spirit. (Zechariah 4:6) Thank you Holy Spirit for sweeping across this nation among our youth, we say blow spirit blow. Fresh wind, fresh fire, we believe and receive it in our nation. Ignite the fire like never before, Oh God.
Thank you for healing in their lives from any damage that the enemy of their souls have already done. You paid the price for it all. You are Christ the healer. (Psalm 107:20). Thank you for the river of God flowing among the youth of this great nation to the nations. Amen
