The Name?
Once I really WANTED a specific job to go thru for my husband, BECAUSE I really WANTED to stay where we were & this job seemed to look like a package deal to GET what I WANTED!
A Christian woman said to me, let’s pray … & proclaim what you want & in Jesus Name she said with confidence, “The job is his!”
IF it was the Lord’s will?…which it was not! He didn’t get the job. Another time, before we moved to NC, I paced our newely paved driveway @ my dreamhome & BEGGED God for my husband to get a certain job. He got the offer, but my husband turned it down.
As I’m GROWING in the Name, I see NOW, God was shifting my life around to position me to be trained to trust God! I PRAISE God for the spiritual blessings in the Relationship OF In HIS Name!
It is an uncomfortable path, but an adventure at the same time.
The point of me sharing like this today, is the Name of Jesus should effect you, but WE ARE NOT SUPPOSED to USE His Name like Yo-Yo TO GET what we want.
The Name of Jesus, Savior & Lord is a place God lives in our heart that cannot sin! Ponder on this verse:
Whosoever IS born OF God doth not commit sin; for HIS seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, BECAUSE he IS born OF God (1 John 3:9 KJV.”)
Faith in The Name of the LORD is our Righteous heart & The Holy Spirit has a Mind! We, who believe & really love God can follow the Mind of Christ ! SURE WE CAN MAKE MISTAKES, …BUT GOD!!
GOD IS OUR STRONG TOWER!..of LIFE, Light of DIRECTION, Hand of mercy & goodness to help us back on the path if we stumble.
My friends, the Lord wants us to know the character of God, WHO IS HE, The God behind the Name!
God is not a Yo-Yo & neither is His Name. I can’t tell you all the Names of God, but I know He has a Name for every need we have!
God will not to chase us in our agendas, to BE what we want. Rather God is OUR HELP as we Trust in the plans God has for us.
That means life is uncomfortable some times, but discovering who God is to us is for our benefit of Salvation & life.
Will you RUN to the Name of the LORD?
What does this mean to you?
To me, it means changing OUR mind to GROW in our relationship WITH God!
