ABQ Budget Woes: $40 Million in the Hole

We have addressed this issue ever since ABQ Mayor Tim Keller announced shortly after taking office that the city was facing a $40 million budget deficit. Mayor Keller was left a BIG LUMP OF COAL by the former administration.

Mayor Keller and the city council need our prayers as they tackle this issue…. no money to hire police officers….and the white elephant called ART!

Someone must stand up for the people! Where was the city council the last 8 years? All must be held accountable. No long term planning, too much spending of our money.

My post from earlier today……..

Finding solutions to problems: How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time!

I am very encouraged by Albuquerque Mayor Tim Keller. I am a optimist by nature, but I like what see, he searching for solutions to ABQ’s problems.

I love his hiring of Police Chief Michael Geier.

Mayor Keller was handed a BIG LUMP OF COAL by the previous administration, $40 million budget deficit, no money to beef up the staffing of the police department, which is way  understaffed, a white elephant called the ART Project!

Two top New York Police Officials visited ABQ this week to overview APD and offer any suggestions. Great work Mayor for reaching outside of New Mexico for help!
