Answering the Call of God

As I get ready to leave for FBC in Reserve, NM this morning, 8 hours in the car today,  I wanted to share a touching moment with you. Daughter Gretchen said, “Dad, can’t you find anything closer than Reserve to preach?”

I said. “Honey, it is not about me or anything I can find, it is all about answering the call that God has placed on my heart and soul, to answer the call to FBC in Reserve or Minnesota or wherever the Lord calls me.”

Gretchen shows such deep love for her Daddy.

Life is all about answering the call that God has placed on your life.

You will not know that call unless you have a close personal relationship with our Lord.

I learned a lot about being a circuit preacher from Pastor Marvin Capehart who put a lot of miles on his cars all through the years of traveling in New Mexico, filling a deep need of the rural churches in the state. It seemed Marvin was always taking his car in for repairs!  Marvin was host of “Ask The Pastor” on KKIM radio when I managed the station years ago, and Marvin became a great mentor. God Bless the memory of Pastor Marvin Capehart.

Pastor Marvin was one the the true servants of God in New Mexico, never in the limelight,  but always doing the work assigned him by our Lord. Marvin was an unsung hero.

My neighbor Oscar, always concerned about me, asked me “I hope you get paid for what your doing!” He said that out of deep love.

I do not do what I do for money. I am thrilled to say that I am all sold out for God and fulfilling the mission that God has placed on my heart and soul. Having a personal relationship with Him is so very awesome! God guides my every step and word.

Please always keep me in your prayers for my travels. Pastor Ricky does not travel with me at this point, he has throat cancer, pray for Ricky please. I know Ricky is thankful for your prayers.

I fear being away from God.

I close by saying thanks to my angel wife Sharon, she is with me every step of the way and sacrifices much.

I love my job, I work for JESUS!

Gretchen turned 31 on Thursday…….I just had to post this!!! Happy Birthday Dear Daughter! Love you much!

Life Verse for Founding Pastor Dewey Moede:

“But my life is worth nothing to me unless I use it for finishing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus—the work of telling others the Good News about the wonderful grace of God.” -Acts 20:24
