This a great ride down memory lane with Billy Graham. The ABQ Journal this morning shares about the Crusades Billy held in the Duke City.
Graham, who died at his North Carolina home yesterday at the age of 99, did crusades in Albuquerque in 1952, 1975 and 1998. Thank you Albuquerque Journal!

BILLY GRAHAM CRUSADE IN ALBUQUERQUE
I had the pleasure of meeting Billy Graham in 1975 at his Crusade in Albuquerque in The Pit. Dorothy and I were new believers and were office and church contact volunteers when he walked in one morning, greeted everyone with a smile and a handshake, and thanked each one of us individually for our help. I remember thinking at the time, “What a humble man to be so great and popular.” He continued that way all of his life and ministry. What a man of integrity and example for all of us, especially pastors, evangelists and preachers who have experienced a measure of success and notoriety in their ministries. I’m just finishing the final chapters of his book, “Nearly Home,” which he wrote when he was 93. Brother Billy’s home now and the angels are rejoicing. Well done faithful servant. You are much loved. See you again soon!
