Live In Love…
Good morning beautiful people. Last evening my daughter and I made Valentine cookies and treats for two of my grandsons classroom Valentine parties. As the boys sat at the table writing out their Valentine cards for their classmates and their teacher, it was joyous to listen to their comments and laughter. Oh, the innocence of children. They love so easily.
This morning as I reflect back, I couldn’t help but pray from 1 John 4:16-19 God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them. This is how love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgement: In this world we are like Jesus. There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love. We love because He first loved us.
Father, thank you for being a God of love. Fear is not from you and not our portion, because of the love of our Father. Thank you for perfecting us in your love. As we journey the day may the love you have filled within our hearts spill out to a world that is in need of knowing the love of Jesus. You said in this world we are like Jesus. Let it be so, let it be so today we pray. Amen
