What Does Love Look Like? By Karen Rowe

Dear Friends,
Who do you set your value in?  Jesus set His value in God; and so can we!  God is so awesome; and God is LOVE, and God has SO LOVED the world; that we can believe & learn to set our value in Christ to experience this extraordinary & supernatural love of God to give love.  Love …Like a balloon filled with air, unless there is air in the balloon, there is no air to let out.
In this world, we define love in many ways, but friends, God is love and to come to know and believe in the love God has for us is a brand new foundation to build our life upon the love God has for us.  But there is more!  God is FOR us -YES!  And, God is With us!  And, when we trust and believe in the love of God, through Jesus Christ our Savior and Lord, God is IN us!
This is the love we are called to abide in – GOD!  God is love!  And, Love is meant to Live in us!
Like a love letter to us, God speaks to us!  God knows what we are going through.  God knows our joys, our pains, our sorrows, our lacks …  And the love of God meets them all through Jesus Christ, Our Lord!
God is the Source of Comfort!  God is the Source of Healing!  God is the Source of Friendship in Christ!  God is LOVE!
How do you define your value?  Are you a Net Worth to the world?  Do you need the world’s approval of who you are to God?  I hope not, because the world is a lonely place. But God!  But God has so loved you that Jesus died (and ROSE AGAIN) for you!  Now, what is impossible with God?  When we set our mind to believe …
Our worth is founded in God’s love for us!  He made us in HIS (3-Fold Image)!  We are so much more than a stick man drawing to God!  Don’t doubt for a minute you are less than perfect in God’s eyes when you measure your worth in Christ Jesus as your personal Savior and Lord!
None of us were worthy, BUT GOD said COME!  People are flawed, and we all are struggling in some way in this world with some thing!  Hope in Today Ministries has a Mirror Ministry, that has a prayer on the back of each mirror:  “Dear God, help me see me as you see me …”
Friend if you need reminded today that you are loved, the Lord has put me here to say, “Child, I love you!”  Have you ever took time to be quiet to hear the breeze of God’s Voice whisper, “Child, I love you,” in your ear?
What does love look like to you personally?  Perhaps you need filled with encouragement, like a balloon needs to expand with air?  Perhaps you need to release some discouragement, so that like a balloon, you make room for God’s love to come in?
Once we allow God to fill our spirit, soul and body with the Love of God through Jesus Christ, we are enabled to love like God.  Yet, God is the Source!  We can’t let people become our source / nor can we allow people to see us as the source.  But we can be a reflection  & encouragement in the love of Christ; and, we can demonstrate the love of God to others by following Christ Jesus in the power of the Teaching Holy Spirit to minister the love of God to the hurting in a way that the Holy Spirit directs us to love in the Way, and the Truth, and the life; as Christ Jesus is the love of God, whom is revealed to us all as our purity in the Source of the love of God!
These are the words, I believe someone needed to hear today.  God loves you and HE will never leave nor forsake you.  Close your eyes and release the hurts and pain to Jesus.  Give them to Him.  Jesus can handle it all!  Let Jesus take what He can handle; which everything … everything.  And let Jesus fill the hole in your soul with the love God has for you!  Ask for some helium in your air – that the love of God lifts you up out of your pain and sorrow above this worldly suffering to a place that rests in a trust in God to discover an eternal joy, which can be found and hoped for in all things, even now.
There is nothing that love doesn’t cover!

1 Peter 4:8 New Living Translation (NLT)

Most important of all, continue to show deep love for each other, for love covers a multitude of sins.

LOVE Lifts …
Before we get to the devotion, the Lord reminded me to say.  God is a God of multiplication.  But the multiply happens in our hands, when we release it all to Jesus; and then give it away to other. LOVE Lifts …
IN Jesus Name, I commit this work to God.  Holy Spirit you are welcome here.
Thank you Jesus; and to God be the glory.
Hope in Today Ministries Devotion for Today:

What does love look like?

How do we show the Truth?

My husband always reminds me, “Karen, people care more about what you do that what you say.”

To say “God loves you” is good, but to demonstrate invested time, patience & sacrifical kindness into someone’s life speaks volumes to the Truth!

If we truly love people, because of the love of God, who has 1st loved us, then the Teacher who lives inside of us will help us understand the Truth of what love looks like in each situation!

Example, Jesus said not yet & purposely delayed going to attend to a cherished loved one who was sick & dying! YET, Jesus demonstrated the most extreme love! Patience to let love have HIS perfect demonstration of WHY Jesus has COME!

Jesus said Not yet, because He loved God, whom called Him to be love for us all! Jesus knew God So Loved the world THAT God gave Jesus to us to believe in the tremendous love God has for the world!

We know how much God loves us, and we have put our trust in his love. God is love, and all who live in love live in God, and God lives in them.
1 John 4:16 NLT

Dear children, let’s not merely say that we love each other; let us show the truth by our actions.
1 John 3:18 NLT

So what does love look like?

Are we showing the Truth by our actions?

Love in Christ,
Karen

Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.
1 Corinthians 13:4‭-‬7 NLT

Till next time!  “Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.”

The address in the Bible is found in 2 Corinthians 1:2, and this is the NIV today.
