Good day to you dear readers! I hope this day finds you well; and I hope this devotion will be a blessing to your day! Pictured from Right to Left is: My mom, Genevieve, my husband, Robert & my dad, Kenneth Dodd! I am behind the camera.
What I love about my family, is that, it was & it is always easy to believe in family love. I hope this picture and story brings a smile to your face; and helps you see a picture of a Father’s love for you. Yes, in my experience, God loves me like this; and I have often said, and even have written about in the Train Whistle, (in my testimony about the rain), I first knew the love from God, through my mom and dad, even before I even knew to understand things about God like this.
If you think things are too big in your life, think again. God is a God who makes things move! Jesus is a powerful Name to believe! If you can believe in a chair that can hold you, you will sit in it. That’s faith! Friends, there is an invisible God who is more powerful than a chair that you can see, touch and feel, and whom is more capable to hold you than that chair. When you believe in Christ Jesus the Son, of the Living God, things will begin to change in your heart. Look up, because God already knows your name! Just say YES.
I realize many didn’t grow up like I did. That’s why I share with you!!! My dad even told me that part of his purpose was through me and the writing that I do. God wants you to know and believe in the love HE has for you!
That’s what faith is for … Sure of what you hope for & Certain of things you don’t see!

Years ago, there was a B I G old stump in the front yard of our first house. We paid less for the entire property than most cars cost today. My dad tried to get me to consider tearing it down to build back new, but all I could see was right in front of me. I said, we can’t afford that!
My dad gave us an opportunity to learn. We did not know what was ahead of us, but my parents knew what they saw!!!
There is a Father in Heaven who knows more than we can see, because we haven’t experienced every thing, but God still knows all things from beginning to end!
Every weekend my parents would finish work & drive 2 hrs to help us thru what they knew was more than we could accomplish alone. They saw the troubles ahead & they had the knowledge & ability to teach us how to overcome these challenges to make something broken, to be brand-new!
This is like the Father’s LOVE for you too! You may not understand all these spiritual words, but God does! All you need to is to believe & trust in the one who will come along side of you to help you. Step by step & then you too will know more about these things thru your own experiences!
That old stump! My dad sit beside me; just me & him on that old rock step off the front porch; and he asked me, “Do you really want that stump gone?” I just nodded my head, and simply said, “YES, I sure do.”
My dad GOT UP, grabbed a SHOVEL & started to dig it up by hand!!! We all joined in & what a wonderful time we had working together to see the seemingly impossible become a beautiful reality!!! Passersby drivers would even slow to ponder HOW that stump WAS coming out of the ground, standing on its edge, ready to topple over & be removed, all cuz of dad’s love that dug, one shovel full at a time!
We used a chainsaw to cut the roots, as we dug; hydraulic jacks to elevate it UP & cinder blocks to brace it, as it become uprooted!
Finally, we used a come-along winch to drag it away! A Father’s love, & the tools He uses: God’s Word & The Holy Spirit.
This a Father’s Love for you that Jesus has come & knows all things, Get understanding. He will sit beside you, teach you, & help you every step of the way- because of God’s Love for you!
Do you have questions, email us ! We would love to talk to you about God’s love for you!
Blessings,
