More action on Mayor Tim Keller’s anti-crime agenda has been taken: The City Council   acted last night to tackle the $40 million city deficit and the horrific crime in the Duke City.

The Mayor was handed a mess by the past administration and the council, but he is moving forward to fix the deficit and crime issue by hiring more police officers.

It is about time we see this type of action taking place at City hall.

The Albuquerque Journal Reports:

Last night the council voted to raise the city’s gross receipts tax rate by three-eighths of a percentage point to address a $40 million deficit in the city’s budget and the public safety crisis.

Please continue to pray for Mayor Keller, the city council, our police officers and the entire city. Albuquerque is in tough shape, Jesus is the only answer, His wisdom is what we need. Hearts need to be changed.

We pray for more public servants who get the job dome the right way, no more “WHITE ELEPHANTS” (Albuquerque Rapid Transit) like the former administration and the city council voted to approve.

We cannot let this malpractice slide, the spending of our money wasted on the ART project (Albuquerque Rapid Transit) This forced hardship on business people, some had to close, others lost their jobs. The page should not be turned on this mess until it is dealt with a public hearing.
