THE LIFE IS IN THE SEED! By Karen Rowe

Dear Readers,

As a corn seed has it all contained within; we have to plant the corn seed in good soil for the roots to grown down into the soil.  We have to water that seed, by the rain God provides; and feed that seed by the sun light God sends to the earth.  In order to see the stalk, the tassel, and harvest the corn to eat, first we have to believe it will grow.   The Word of God is the seed that Jesus plants in our heart.  Do you believe this?  Perhaps we need to eat corn, before we discover we like the taste of corn?  We need to experience the implanted Word of God for our faith to grow.

Another way to look at it, has someone misrepresented the goodness of Jesus to you?  Once, we had friends who wanted us to try peas!  I had tried peas before!  I didn’t like peas!  YET, I had never tried peas microwaved before!  I like peas now, because I tried the same veggie, but in the right consistency …

Our heart is the soil …  The Word of God is the Seed.  I hope this helps to soften your heart to consider if something is set in your mind that is preventing you from really grasping how deep and how wide is the love that God has for you!

God is Good!  And Jesus loves you!  Have you discovered the freedom in Christ to have joy and peace & patience as your power?  God is patience … Yes, because God is love and love is patient and kind.  Abide in God and he abides in you …

Life is really about forgiveness …

I hope you are doing well, but can we just talk for a minute?  We have feelings; don’t we?  Yes, our feelings are called emotions; and sometimes, our emotions can go all over the place!  Our mind will quickly agree; and our heart can desire what we want, but can never fully obtain without Christ.   There are temporaries that pass … but there is only ONE eternal Salvation to our souls!

What hope is there?

Have you lost a loved one?  Live to see them again!  Discover your purpose in this life is to know and believe in the love God has for you; and be that love for the world to see!  You may think one thing, but what does God think?  Yes, not all things are permissible, but all things are possible through Christ!

Yes, there is hope!  Hope begins with a change of mind-set!  Put off your old mind & PUT on the MIND of Christ! Would you like to learn how?

Ah!  If we get this, we will never be the same!

Jesus is our HOPE!  But “I FEEL ________!”  Yes, I understand, but so does God even more know what you are going through!  Please hear the Word of the Lord speak to you, God is not the cause of the consequence of the pain!

As I grow in the Ever-Increasing Wisdom of God, I will never be the same as I learn. So I share this courage with you!  Our Soul has a mind, a will and emotions.  Anytime we say “I” “I” “I”  And follow “I” with  “want” “want” “want”  this is a wonderful time to STOP in our emotional will; and ask God for His thoughts on everything we are battling in our mind; and according to how we feel!

Ask God …

What does God think about ____?

What does God desire (What is the Will of God) about _____?

We can put off our ‘rampant’ emotional thoughts, to choose better with God’s Emotion, which is Wisdom and with JOY!  Joy is in the Presence of God, HIS emotions about life!

Is there confusion?  Disorder?  Evil practice (see the Word of God to identify)?

I love the Book of James, because knowledge is empowering to choose better!  We send our kids to school everyday to learn.  Why?  Because, don’t we need to know our basic A,B,C’s and 1,2,3’s BEFORE we calculate if we can afford a car, a house, a boat … or food?

As a world, we have gotten away from the Basics of growing food and walking in our bare feet on the dirt!  Pausing to take time to feel the gentle breeze of God’s love …Why is this so important to us?

The world is Growing Distractions from where we come from … And where Peace is…

Think about this, and then I will leave you to your own personal time with God as you go hopefully go through this devotion.

If a bug won’t eat a plant sprayed with insecticide, why should we?  Do we have a choice?  Now, I eat stuff too … but this is just a thought provoking way to stir up the spirit of the Mind of God in you about the choices we have; and the agenda of the world.  I don’t have to tell you what you already know!  But I can encourage you to seek God’s thoughts about your dilemmas in your personal life;and shine a light that where there is envy and selfish ambition, there you will find confusion & every evil practice … the light is to see, so we can PUT OFF.

I love the Book of James, in how quite simply with just a mention of the Truth, we can know that God’s Wisdom does not leave us double-minded about wanting God’s HELP to change our mind.

I may want, but what God’ wants is better for me; and for those around me!

I may feel justified in my emotions to Re-act, but when I surrender to prefer & Choose JOY (God’s emotion) over my pride and selfish agenda, I feel SET FREE!

Why do we fight so hard to be right?  Pride is a power weapon against us … Our very own pride and emotions…

If you are struggling today in your soul: Your mind, your desires, your emotions?  How long do you want this battle to last?  Won’t you have a little talk with Jesus and ask God to help you choose HIS way and be set free from the things that Jesus has set us free from INDEED …

What is God’s agenda? What is your agenda? What is the agenda of those around you?

Lets go to, In the beginning was … The imperishable seed! The Seed is the Word of God thru Christ Jesus to us to help us know the Mind of God!

It is easy to get along well in this world, when everything is easy & going well for us. Easy, until the challenges come to our faith … to promote / grow us in our faith. Yes! God uses challenges to promote us higher than we even aim!

Ex: It is easy to be patient & kind IF we trick our mind to think someone is going thru a difficult time, which enables us to easily show (compassion?)

Example: A rude driver is driving like he is stupid. ok…Maybe he needed to get to the hospital, or ____?

BUT, LET’S GO TO THE HARD STUFF! The Holy Spirit knows the intent of the heart & HE (GOD) is the identifier of selfish-ambition.

NOW, we can WORK WITH the TRUTH!
Honestly, my soul would love to react, BUT The Holy Spirit HOLDS me in situations.

Made with a soul, we need the IMPLANTED WORD TO SAVE OUR SOULS!

Implantation: The act of setting in firmly!

Psalm 139:13 & Jeremah 1:5 Introduces this well! Thank you Holy Spirit!

For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my SOUL KNOWS it vEry WELL.

“BEFORE I formed you in the womb I knew you, & BEFORE you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a ….” … “Ah, Lord God ! Thank you God for BEING all we need FOR us!

GOD, You are THE FATHER; You are THE SON & You are THE HOLY SPIRIT!

GOD YOU ARE THE IMPLANTED WORD & IT IS GOD WHO LIVES IN ME!

And we have a choice to seek to follow the Spirit OF that which is GOOD!

Soul and Holy Spirit

OUR SOUL IS:  1) Our Mind, 2) Our Will (OUR Heart Desires), & 3) Our Emotions/ feelings!

THE HOLY SPIRIT IS 1) God’s Mind, 2) God’s Will (God’s Desires) & 3) God’s Emotions
