Romans 3:27-31 (NKJV): Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? Of works? No, but by the law of faith. 28 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith apart from the deeds of the law. 29 Or is He the God of the Jews only? Is He not also the God of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also, 30 since there is one God who will justify the circumcised by faith and the uncircumcised through faith. 31 Do we then make void the law through faith? Certainly not! On the contrary, we establish the law.
Did you know there are 3 types of Salvation? These are what a believer goes through, in their Walk in Faith, kind of like Stages. Justification – When a Believer comes to Faith through Jesus Christ. Sanctification – A process of Faith a believer goes through to be “set apart” from The World with the Help of The Holy Spirit. Glorification – When a believer “graduates’ from this life and is in the presence of The Father. We will be looking at each type/stage over the next several days.
Today, we look at Justification. Miriam-Webster Online Dictionary defines Justification:
justification
1 a : the act or an instance of justifying something : vindication
- arguments offered in justification of their choice
b : an acceptable reason for doing something : something that justifies an act or way of behaving
- could provide no justification for his decision
3 : the process or result of justifying lines of text (see justify 3a)
- software that provides automatic justification of text

justify
justified; justifying
1 a : to prove or show to be just, right, or reasonable
- trying to justify his selfish behavior
- I shouldn’t have to justify myself to them.
- justify the ways of God to man
- —John Milton
2 a : to judge, regard, or treat as righteous and worthy of salvation
- God justifies with his forgiveness and grace the man who comes to him
- —Will Herberg
b : to make even by spacing lines of text
- justified margins
b : to qualify as bail or surety
- the surety justified on the bail bond
So, we see that there is no one who is perfect. Perfection is what God wanted from us. Because of the flaws that occurred in our lives from sin, we have removed ourselves from the presence of God. But, God. He is so loving that HE desired for us to be brought back into His Family and Presence. We had to be justified to be able to accomplish that.
What does that mean. It means that there had to be the Perfect Sacrifice to pay our debt that we accumulated through our sins. We failed by trying to live by The Law. It was something that was created so that we understood the standards God wanted from us. But it also showed us how “crippled” we are without Him working in our lives.
He did give us a way to “atone” for our sins. This was through animal sacrifice. The problem with this is that the sacrifice only covered our sins for a period of time. The sacrifices He allowed for u s did not pay the debt we had. It only covered for a short period of time.
Many of you may already be aware of all this. So, why the reminder? Because many of us forget that He did cover our sins through His Death and Resurrection. Then we start to “beat” ourselves up for things that are in the past. There maybe people who come into our lives and try to continue to bring those up. Let us remember, that we can Trust that through The Death of Jesus on the Cross, Through us coming into Faith and developing that Relationship with Him, those sins are no longer part of us.
It starts with Our Relationship with Jesus. If you don’t have a Relationship with Him or you need to rekindle that Relationship, do it now. Call out to Him and seek his Love and Forgiveness. It really is as hard or easy as you make it.
We should look to Him daily to seek a relationship with Him. I want to encourage you to seek Him today, if you haven’t already. If you need help, have questions or need direction in this regard, please, feel free to let me know.
