Good day to you Dear Readers of FGGAM. I am so happy that you have decided to join me once again. May I share with you a introduction? Years ago, I was making that dreaded 4 hour trip home to NC from WV; … behind a slow semi-truck. I considered passing, but there were no opportunities. I basically grew impatient and well, you know that feeling when you feel stuck & held back …
Sometimes, we can look to blame the person in front of us … But God gives us a different perspective; if we look to Jesus and reconsider, that perhaps God put that person in front of us to teach something about ourselves that is good for us to learn.
After a while of driving slower than I had hoped to make that trip home, I come to notice a bumper sticker on the back of that truck, which said, “Got Jesus?” I had plenty of time to think about that. Were my thoughts and ambitions reflecting Jesus? I began to ask myself that question. Of coarse I knew I am saved by grace through Jesus, but the question remained in front of me, was I letting Jesus BE active in my life in that moment?
This “Got Jesus” message gave me an opportunity to refocus my way of thinking. Right in front of me, God gave me the opportunity to accept this challenge to my faith. I had the opportunity to accept that challenge and thank God by my faith, for loving me this much, that He slowed me down to consider where my heart really was going.
This rededicated time gave me a patience that was from God; and the peace and joy from Jesus was so good to me, that I decided that I would like to have a “Got Jesus?” bumper sticker to bless others, as this simple message had just blessed me to adjust my mind, which transformed my experience on this trip!
Remarkably, when I got home, our daughter had brought me home a gift! Guess what it was? She had bought me a “Got Jesus?” bumper sticker for my car! I loved it! We placed it on my little white car.
Yet, what happened next? I didn’t expect the accountability that I would carry with my awareness of this sticker “message” on the back of my car! I was a direct representative of Jesus every choice I made while driving among traffic. I wasn’t aware before that I really wanted to speed at times; and I really was more aware not to cut anyone off rudely. You know what I mean? I had to represent some one at a higher level than me: JESUS!
One day, I was driving and thinking about how people tend to hold us to a certain level; and even we are guilty of that ourselves sometimes too. That was the day, the Lord blessed me with the idea of a new bumper sticker that reflected who I am; and who Jesus is to me personally.
“I don’t have it all figured out; BUT God does … Follow Jesus!”
When I live for Jesus, life is better & filled with true life Peace and Joy with enough love to know that I am loved; and an overflow of love to share with others; as the Good Lord leads. When I live for my self, I experience bumps to my peace and joyful trip! I don’t have to worry about being perfect, I just keep my eye on pleasing God & HE never fails me!
What about you? Would you share your story with us? How has Jesus impacted your life?

Got Jesus? By Karen Rowe
Yesterday, I listened to a man tell me how he walked in the shadows of a man whose testimony he shared!
He told me how mean this man was in High School & how he was really great at sports, but got kicked out of school, because he was so mean that he just beat people up. Somehow, he managed to get picked up by a college team, but continued to be mean. He went on to the Golden Glove; still no one wanted to tangle with him, because he was just so mean!
Years later, One day, this man was sitting along the street and another man saw him sitting there downcast. He went up to him, put his hand on his shoulder and told him the greatest message that can ever be told!
He said, “You need Jesus!”
Upon this hearing, the man got up and believed in Jesus! He eventually followed his wife to church & eventually come to really receive the message of Salvation, which radically changed his life!
This man went from being so mean that no one wanted to tangle with him, to radically changed by Christ, to being a powerful part to changing many lives by sharing his testimony of where he was & how Jesus changed his life.
If we get this, Believing in God & Receiving Christ Jesus, we will never be the same!
I had the privilege to notice that this man who was retelling me this man’s testimony was not walking in his shadows, but rather walking in the light of God, whom is Christ & telling the Good News that the world needs to hear!
The world needs Jesus.
And, as Robert, my husband always reminds me, we don’t have to scream it, just live the life God gave us & tell the story by the way we live our life; and when God gives us that nudge to share, tell the message of Life that is FOUND by coming to faith in Jesus, the Christ, the Son of the Living God.
What about you?
“I tell you the truth, those who listen to my message and believe in God who sent me have eternal life. They will never be condemned for their sins, but they have already passed from death into life.
John 5:24 NLT
