Programmed That Way? Jesus Teaches Us The New Way, By Karen Rowe

Good day again from NC! I suppose I always share more with you here @ FGGAM than I do about any other place.  My husband would say, that was a post by itself.  Instagram forces me to a word limit.  So, Robert, I will honor you by numbering the parts.  :)  I pray that the Lord will direct each of us to to something that will enhance our growth today.  As always, To God be the Glory!

The 3rd Post as this come together in Christ.

We have been studying adversities.  Rob said, what exactly is an adversity?  I said, I believe it is when things don’t go the way we would like them to go.  That it becomes a battle of our will, with a challenge to our faith to resist speaking as we would like to ; and with an opportunity to Praise God with our words instead.  Adversities help us grow in our faith, but they are slick; and many times sneak up in our lives in a way that we just look up and the struggle is there!   What Satan means to harm us, God uses to promote us!

We tend to want to avoid all adversity.  We are programmed that way … that even talking about how we may feel; is a sign of weakness???  Yet, Jesus teaches a New Way & Victory!  This is why I share.  The Holy Spirit is one.  We are here to help one another.

God’s cares Concerning you

How do; or will we, respond in the face of adversity? Jesus teaches us to be thankful in all circumstances; to always be joyful.  To never stop praying.  In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you (1 Thessalonians 5:16, 17, 18).

Reference Also: John 16:33 & 1 Corinthians 10:13.

“These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world (John 16:33).”

“There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it (1 Corinthians 10:13).”

Are we programmed that way?

Are we programmed that way?  To be thankful in all circumstances … ?  Logically, naturally and physically, that seems pretty heavy.  Or, are we learning a new spiritual way?  Jesus teaches us to ask Him to help us God’s Way…

If we really listen,

there is always something we can improve on,

if we will really listen,

someone may just share something in a way

that will enhance us to grow.

We need each other to talk things out with, because there is someone who knows how to express it; and this will enhance us to grow.  I always picture this as God gives pieces of the puzzle I need to see to a few chosen people whom, when they share in that way, I can see the clearer vision of what God wants me to know and understand about a situation.

Jesus gives us, when we really seek to follow Him, the power and authority to resist the spirit of Satan and rise above the things that fret us.

Our words matter!

to be thankful in all circumstances; to always be joyful.  To never stop praying.  In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you…

Sometimes, we don’t know how to share what we are going through.  Are we programmed that way?  Perhaps, you may even think that it is a sign of weakness for you to share your our true feelings about how you feel in the midst of your difficulties?

But, may I encourage you to pray about that.  Is there someone that you trust enough in Christ to be honest with?  Family is unity and in unity there is strength.

I share with you, because we are here to help one another.  I share to encourage, that if we will listen, …there is always something we can improve on.  To me, as I learn in a way, by listening to someone who knows how to express what I am thinking, in a little different way; that even if I knew it, my learning is enhanced by the way someone shared it with me.

The Holy Spirit gives us gifts in ministry; and I truly hope this encourages us to help one another by truth & talking in unity with one another and lifting each other up to a level of faith to Praise and Thanksgiving to God.

The 2nd Part

This morning, our son was looking at the weather forecast.  Kinda bummed, he saw that a Thunder Storm was in the forecast for the weekend.  I have become very mindful of the power of my words, so as I teach my son, I also share as I am able with you too.

Forecasts can be helpful, but I remember years ago, we tried to make our plans around the weather forecast.  Inevitably, if we stayed home, the boating weekend turned out beautiful; and if we went according to a good weather forecast, in that particular teaching season for us, the rain showed up on that weekend. After a few weekends of this mess, we decided to go with the opposite; and joyfully trust God instead.  We smiled about it.  And, honestly, maybe that was boastful, but nevertheless, God is patient and kind to us as we learn!  So, to God be the glory, and according to our faith at that time, every time was perfect; and worked out as we had hoped. I am not recommending this method of trusting God, but I am recommending making your plans accordingly to what God tells your faith to do.

I told my son this morning in his disappointment, that this is the time of the year we do tend to get thunderstorms, but it’s an evening storm that passes; and it comes for a purpose.  The dust level drops and the pollen is reduced & washed away!   A Thunderstorm in not a negative to our day, but an added blessing to our day.

adjusting words to praises to God is retraining our brain …

But our perspective matters … in how we formulate our words!

I am training my mind to be careful of what I say and how I say it.  It is powerfully effective & I highly recommend it!  To honor God with my words to reflect my transforming heart is to be full of the power in Thank Giving, which is to enter into the Presence of God (His Gates & His Court).

And check this out!  God created the Universe with a spoken word.  Words matter in what we bring forth in our lives ~ Positives or Negatives.

For instance, I don’t say anymore that I am “surprised” when God does a miracle / answers a prayer.  I have learned to say that I am amazed every time I see God do, what I already know God can do.  I am not surprised, because I know God can do it.  Yet, I am amazed in the awe of God to see the work of God every time!

Do you find your self speaking negative?  How does that work out?

We can learn to speak in our Salvation the glory of the Lord to the things we hope for, but cannot see.  We can train our minds to be thankful in all circumstances.

And, to be “Thankful In ALL Circumstances” is God’s will for you!

Part one:  This all began on Instagram.  I hope this is a blessing to you.

How can you be thankful in difficult struggles?

The answer is NOT to block the trouble that is coming at you; but rather to ask Jesus to help you Resist what frets you, because in Christ, if it frets a child of God, that is how we know it is not of God. If it frets you, It is the spirit of Satan.

We must stay Prayed-Up! Because in this world, we are in the presence of the enemy.

Pray-Up to go beyond the ordinary! Faith is the food; just don’t forget about the Salvation Jesus gave you in the midst of your enemy!

Salvation is powerful & effective & we have to go thru it! Praise God for giving us the strength to resist what desires to control us! We can’t force God and make it happen. And, we would surely fail, if it were not for Jesus! God has appointed the time. Today, Give thanks to God for giving you the power & authority over all these things that come against you!

God set our table in the Presence of our enemies. We know we won’t be ashamed of Him & He won’t be ashamed of us.

In the Name of Jesus we can resist, because Jesus gives us the power & authority to resist, which means to rebuke the spirit of Satan! Do not allow, nor LET any manipulative thoughts to control your voice; nor your thoughts!

In Christ, we can say, “Praise God for giving me the strength to resist it!”

So this how we remain grateful in Christ! We give thanks to God to be thankful & this is the will that God has for you.

Identify the spirit of Satan. And don’t forget about your Salvation. Abide in the Holy Spirit of God & remember that God is LOVE. Abide in patience & kindness & God will give you a method to escape in God’s appointed time!

Lift praise to God for loving us SO much that He gave us His Son to deliver us from death unto life!

In the Name of Jesus, we are in the relationship with God …

In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
1 Thessalonians 5:18 KJV

Meet Karen: Hi, I am blessed, by God's good grace and because I know Jesus, I am blessed. I choose to be blessed, because I have a choice set before me and I refuse to look down. I trust God and I know and believe in the love God has for us. I have overcome difficulties; and I am blessed by the grace of God alone. If I have written about it, then I have felt the pain of it in some way, and to some degree. Did you know that Jesus has felt your pain? This is why I write. By God's grace I can identify; and tell you honestly, yes there is hope in anything and everything that you are facing today! Jesus is our Hope! He is the Truth, the Way and the Life. I am married a wonderful man, Robert Rowe; I love my husband and he loves me; and we have been married for 28 years. Together, we have been blessed with a wonderful daughter, named Amanda who is college now; and a wonderful son, named Daniel who is growing up well and soon to graduate elementary school. We work together and by God's grace we run our own business called PSI. We have a pastor over our ministry and over our business and also we depend on him for advise in our family. We have 2 dogs, 4 horses, 2 cats and love to spend time outdoors by the water and by campfires ... that is it seems when we can find time away from life's busy schedule. I love to write because it helps me learn more about God. And, I am driven by a passion from a love that God has put in my heart to share from my experiences and struggles, as I gain understanding in God’s Word to know how effective and powerful God is over our every situation! I share with you so you can know that you are not alone in your struggles. The same God who helps me and my family, is your help and shield as well! Life is not always easy, but it is possible –I like to share the difference that following Jesus makes in my life. And, I love to share God's patience and mercy and love that is with me! I am not perfect, but am experiencing God sanctify me through and through with every mistake I make; and yes, overcome in Christ! Life is not just about the successes; life on this earth is also about the troubles we overcome to discover what God has hidden in our faith to find! Troubles are more a challenge to grow in our faith ... It is not easy, but in the end the grace of God we discover is worth experiencing God in the midst. By Grace, I have discovered Jesus is Peace and He is my Joy and Wisdom from Heaven. God is our Provider and Healer and Creator, who is our help and shield over all things. By grace, I have experienced a nearness to God through my faith in His Son! We are well forgiven by God; and well blessed when we know and believe the love that God has for us. To say, "all is well with my soul" is a powerful knowledge to understand and experience. I sense God's desire for you to know His love for you and how deep His love for you is that He has SO loved you; God gave you His Son. God loves you right now just as you are! There is so much to learn! I believe that as we learn from God, we are God’s gift to each other. It is all God’s story –and for His glory; and God has SO loved us. I love to paint the vision that God has given me about a Father’s love –that God wants you to dream again and visualize His love for you! In God’s eyes, there’s more to life than we see; and in a world that sometimes misrepresents and misunderstands God and love; God wants you to have the courage to dream His dream and see His vision of a Father’s love for you! Many years ago, I prayed to God, “How can I tell a million people what I know about Your Son?” God showed me I had a gift of a ministry about God's Love; and He called it Hope in Today! I write to please God and I write to encourage you; and I write to spend quiet time with God. All because of this love that God has first shown me! I need Jesus –and my life is about my relationship with God. And, every blessing begins with Him! Love in Christ, Karen Rowe, Director Hope in Today Ministries, Inc.
