Don’t Be Haughty Now, It’s Called Grace…

Good morning beautiful people, good morning. This morning I was thinking about my conversation with a friend recently. We shared stories back and forth of how God was using His people to change the world. The more we talked about what we saw happening, I could sense the more important we were beginning to feel. It didn’t take my God long to lead me to some scriptures to bring us back down from the clouds we were puffing on.

It’s easy to think more highly of ourselves than we should. We are all the same at the foot of the cross. There is not one of us that could earn or do we deserve the free gift given to us. No matter how good we are, or think we are, we are undeserving of His grace and mercy. This free gift cost Jesus His very life and us nothing. May we never forget it. Angel Murchison may you never forget it!

We are blessed that He chooses to use us. He alone could change everything in an instant. May we never be haughty, but count our blessings every day. Let’s Pray:

1 Timothy 6:13-21 New International Version (NIV)

God, the blessed and only Ruler, the King of kings and Lord of lords, who alone is immortal and who lives in unapproachable light, whom no one has seen or can see. To him be honor and might forever. Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share.  In this way they will lay up treasure for themselves as a firm foundation for the coming age, so that they may take hold of the life that is truly life. Guard what has been entrusted to your care. Turn away from godless chatter and the opposing ideas of what is falsely called knowledge, which some have professed and in so doing have departed from the faith. Grace be with you all.

Father, thank you for mercy and grace. Thank you that everything we are or will ever become is because of the love, mercy and grace you have for us. May we always remember where you brought us from. Thank you that you, oh God, oppose the proud
but shows favor to the humble. (James 4:6)

Father, you tell us in 1 Peter 5:6  to humble ourselves, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time you may exalt us.

Thank you to the God of our salvation for the abundant life you have given us. Amen

Have a blessed day beautiful people. Don’t be haughty now, it’s called grace.
