Good morning all of you beautiful people! Let us come together this morning, in prayer, to ask Our Lord to give us the strength to not seek revenge.
Lord, we want to become more of The People of God that You would want us to be. We know that in order to do so, we need to learn to be changed. So, today, we come to You with open hearts to have You work in them.
You have told us, Lord, not to avenge ourselves, but rather give place to wrath. Vengeance is Yours, Lord. So when our enemy is hungry or thirsty, we should feed him and give him a drink. This shows True Love. We learn to not be overcome by evil, but to overcome evil with good, this way. (Taken From Romans 12:19-21)
We seek Wisdom from You in order to be able to do this. On our own accord, we do not know how to not seek revenge. On our own accord, we do not know how to show love, grace, and forgiveness. On our own accord, we do not know how to seek living in peace with others, wherever possible, as Your Word Instructs Us.
What all of this should mean to us is that we should seek how to do this from You. We should seek True Wisdom from You to learn how to do all of this. We need to be the example to others, of Your Love working in and through us.
Thank You Lord for being the example. Thank You Lord for giving us Grace to learn. Thank You for allowing us to become more like what You would hope us to be.
