Psalm 119:145-152 (NKJV): I cry out with my whole heart; Hear me, O Lord! I will keep Your statutes. 146 I cry out to You; Save me, and I will keep Your testimonies. 147 I rise before the dawning of the morning, And cry for help; I hope in Your word. 148 My eyes are awake through the night watches, That I may meditate on Your word. 149 Hear my voice according to Your lovingkindness; O Lord, revive me according to Your justice. 150 They draw near who follow after wickedness; They are far from Your law. 151 You are near, O Lord, And all Your commandments are truth. 152 Concerning Your testimonies, I have known of old that You have founded them forever.
You remember those commercials from Staples? Wouldn’t it be great if we had a similar button where we push it and we don’t have to worry? Well, we may not have an exact type of button, but, what we do have is the ability to get on our knees or to be prostrate before The Lord and let Him have our problems.
If only we would remember that all the time. We tend to get stuck in our problems and forget that Our Lord has it under control.
Here, the Psalmist seems to have such a great Relationship with The Lord, that he went right to Him with his concerns and hopes with no hesitation. Am I saying his was a Perfect Relationship? Not necessarily. We have seen throughout this Psalm many times when he struggled with life’s problems.
Note: there is some understanding that multiple people were involved in the writing of this Psalm. If that is the case, then it could explain why there is so much struggle with Trust that Our Lord will take care of it all in this Psalm. What we do see with this all though, is it always is laid before Our Lord to handle.
Let’s make sure we work on remembering that He has it under control. One way would be reading The Bible, Praying, Fellowshipping and Listening to The Lord.
We will continue to be looking at Psalm 119 in sections. Although, we need Jesus to bring us back into A Relationship with God The Father, this Psalm lays a foundation of how we should be walking in our Faith walks.
It starts with Our Relationship with Jesus. If you don’t have a Relationship with Him or you need to rekindle that Relationship, do it now. Call out to Him and seek his Love and Forgiveness. It really is as hard or easy as you make it.
We should look to Him daily to seek a relationship with Him. I want to encourage you to seek Him today, if you haven’t already. If you need help, have questions or need direction in this regard, please, feel free to let me know.
Maybe today you are struggling with something. Maybe you may have found yourself not as close to The Lord as you thought. We would like to help you in this through prayer and guidance.
