Peace…Is It In The Flood Or The Flame?

Father, thank you that you give your people peace like a river. The peace that transcends all understanding. (Philippians 4:7) Today, no matter what a reader is going through, you are their hope. Romans 15:13 tells us that the God of hope will fill us with all joy and peace as we trust in him, so that we may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Thank you for the overflow.
Father, thank you that you grant the desires of our hearts. Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life. Thank you for filling every longing, every place in our lives with your presence. You are the God of all hope and peace.
Today, as we journey our day, may we give from the overflow of a heart that has been flooded with the grace and mercy of our God. May the light that shines from within us expel darkness wherever our feet tread. Thank you for being the God in both the flame and the flood. Amen
