Blessed Are…, Matthew 5:6

Matthew 5:6 (NKJV): Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, For they shall be filled.

Those who thirst for righteousness are going to look for The Truth. They are the ones who will search until they see what they need to do to be Righteous in God’s Eyes. They are the ones who will be obedient to what He tells them to do. They are not going to buy any type of nonsense from people who will try to lead them away from what God’s expectations are.

We see today, many who try to tell us what God will and will not accept, that does not line up with His Word. It’s as if they are trying to tell Him that He needs to accept them even if His Standards are different that what they teach.

We would have to ask them simply, “Would you want someone telling you who will be with you, even if it’s not what you want around you?” In other words, do you want someone who offends you to be forced on you? Then why do you expect God to do that? Essentially, His Word tells us what He expects if we are to be part of His Family, not what we are forcing.”

If we seek righteousness for what God wants, then we need to search His Words. He outlines what it means to be righteous. What we find is that we fall short of His Righteousness. He is the one who provided the way for us to be righteous. It is through His Son Jesus.

Do you want to be filled with Righteousness today? Then follow Jesus. We will be filled through Him.

We will continue  be looking at the Sermon on The Mount, continuing with The Beatitudes. Although,  we need Jesus to bring us back into A Relationship with God The Father, The Sermon on The Mount deals with Heart Issues which is what we should look at when learning to have that Relationship with God.
If we are to please God, we need to allow The Holy Spirit to set us apart. We need to pursue a sinless life. We are to seek Righteousness. How do we do it? Through prayer, study, fellowship, being willing to be corrected/accountability, discipleship, and service.

It starts with Our Relationship with Jesus. If you don’t have a Relationship with Him or you need to rekindle that Relationship, do it now. Call out to Him and seek his Love and Forgiveness. It really is as hard or easy as you make it.

We should look to Him daily to seek a relationship with Him. I want to encourage you to seek Him today, if you haven’t already. If you need help, have questions or need direction in this regard, please, feel free to let me know.

Maybe today you are struggling with something. Maybe you may have found yourself not as close to The Lord as you thought. We would like to help you in this through prayer and guidance.
