How do you see yourself By Jeanne Theriault
At times we find ourselves basing our self worth on how others see us and on our accomplishments ,feeling shame from our past or never being good enough, comparing ourselves with others, defining our value based on our looks. You need to see yourself the way God sees you.
1 Samuel 16:7 The Lord does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance but the Lord looks at the heart.
1 John 3:1 How great is the love of the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God.
Our identity is found in Jesus Christ it is rooted in his freedom. You are a child of God and a joint heir with Jesus. When you have a spiritual intimate relationship with him, it is this truth that gives you unconditional love ,security and hope.
If you find yourself trying to prove yourself worth to someone else then you have forgotten your value.
In God eyes you are loved and valued. You need not to prove to anyone how valuable you are.
Ephesians 2:10 For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
Remember no one can make you feel inferior without your consent. Make it your primary goal to please God and know who you are in him.
1 Thessalonians 2:4 We are not trying to please men but God who tests our hearts.
You have a purpose in life, God has a plan for you , you are created in God’s glory
Isaiah 43:7 Everyone who is called by my name whom I created for my glory whom I formed and made.
Never question or doubt of who you are. God created you the way he wanted you to be. We are created in God’s image so therefore we are perfectly made in God’s eyes. Never let anyone bring down your self worth.
Psalm 139:13 For you created my inmost being you knit me together in my mother’s womb 14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful I know that full well.
2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if anyone is in Christ , he is a new creation. The old has gone the new has come. 18 All this is from God who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation.
I thank you Lord for I am highly valued through your eyes. I am perfectly and wonderfully made. You have a purpose and a plan for my like. I am created for your glory and my heart aims to please you. My self worth is in your love, hope and security . Amen
