Have You Been Set Free?

Good morning beautiful people. So many times in our journey that fear tries to take over. I believe one of the most common areas of all struggle is with fear. I pray frequently for people struggling with fear. Sometimes when the unexpected hits, fear tries to take over in my own life as well. Then I must revisit the Holy Scriptures, renew my mind, look at God’s past record in my life and praise Him no matter what.
When we journey with Jesus and get His revelation of His love, fear must flee. God’s perfect love for us casts out all fear. No matter where we go or any unexpected circumstances we face, fear is not our portion.
Did you ever think God was going to punish you, because you messed up? Punishment makes a person fear, so love is not made perfect in the person who fears. Romans 5:8 states God shows his great love for us in this way. Christ died for us while we were still sinners.
2 Timothy 1:7 states God did not give us a spirit that makes us afraid but a spirit of power and love and a sound mind. Psalm 91: 10-11 states No evil shall befall you, nor shall any plaque come near your dwelling: For he shall give his angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways.
Psalm 34:17 states the righteous cry out and the Lord hears and delivers them out of all their troubles. Doesn’t all that sound good?
John 14:27, states I leave you peace, my peace I give to you. I do not give it to you as the world does. So don’t let your hearts be troubled or afraid.
Father, today, I thank you that you have not given use a spirit of fear, but of power, love and a sound mind. Today, we thank you for victory. We thank you for loving people enough to die for us, when we were yet sinners. There is nothing we have ever done, do now or will ever do that would ever stop you from loving us.
Today, we receive the courage you have given us. We will step out of our comfort zone and enjoy the life you have so graciously given to us. Thank you today for giving us the abundant life. Amen
