Just a few days ago, the ICEJ AID and Media teams were on the spot to visit frontline communities in the Gaza Envelope. It was heartwarming to hear them thank our supporters for the help you have provided:
“I want to thank our friends at the Christian Embassy for your swift response in providing us with firefighting trailers. These trailers are the greatest current need…” Elan Isaacson, Head of Security for the Eshkol Region, which neighbors the Gaza strip.
Over the next couple of weeks, we will be sharing testimonials and reports about fighting this new and destructive phenomenon. And we hope that you will want to join the frontline battle, too.
The cry for all-terrain firefighting equipment came from local officials struggling to protect their areas, such as Elan Isaacson, Head of Security for the Eshkol Region. The ICEJ promptly donated a firefighter trailer (total cost per unit 15,500 USD) to help the Israeli communities in this region who are under daily attack. Thanks to your help we are well on our way to financing additional trailers, but we still have some way to go. Will you join the bucket line?
Elan Isaacson explained the urgent need for more fire trailers due to the 15-20 fires they have every day! Elan gave his personal thanks to the many Christians who are helping his community in its time of need:
“I want to thank our friends at the Christian Embassy for your swift response in providing us with firefighting trailers. These trailers are the greatest current need we have to respond to the incendiary balloons coming across the border. Your support, not just now in times of crisis, but throughout the year is very important to us and strengthens us. I want to express my heartfelt thanks to all of our Christian friends.”
The new firefighting trailer donated by the ICEJ has already seen action, and we are in the the process of releasing funds for two additional trailers, as well as raising support for a fourth.
This is a race against time as the gusty winds and summer heat make for optimal wildfire conditions. The relatively small but agile trailers are uniquely suited to navigate otherwise inaccessible terrain, allowing fires to be put out before they grow too big to control.
Stand with Israel by helping them put all of these fires out before more crops and land are destroyed! |
