US Officials Continue Pressuring Iran
U.S. President Donald Trump gave a speech on Tuesday in which he said, among other things, that he’s ready to “make a real deal” with Iran regarding its renegade nuclear program, adding that his plans were for something different than “the deal that was done by the previous administration, which was a disaster.” Defense Minister James Mattis backed up his boss, speaking at a separate event and saying “It’s time for Iran to shape up and show responsibility as a responsible nation. It cannot continue to show irresponsibility as a revolutionary organization that is intent on exporting terrorism, exporting disruption, across the region.”
