It’s A Heart Issue, Part 8, Matthew 5:25c-d

Matthew 5:25 c-d (NKJV): lest your adversary deliver you to the judge, the judge hand you over to the officer, and you be thrown into prison.

One would think that Jesus is talking about someone taking you to court to sue you over something. This is partly true. He does want for us to resolve our issues before we end up in court. If we stand before a judge, we may find that our vase will be lost. Especially if we are in the wrong. He wants us to do what we can to rectify the situation before we find that we lose all.

The other part of this is that The Judge we may face, is God, Himself. When it comes time for The Judgment Day, we need to be sure that we have done what we can to rectify the wrongs we are aware of. Again, this starts with seeking True Forgiveness from Him. We cannot escape that Judgment unless we have been cleared. In other words, we need Jesus to bring The True Forgiveness. He is The Only Way we can enter into Heaven.

Jesus is encouraging us to seek Him to bring change into our lives. He is again talking about that without Him, we will not be Forgiven by The Father. The adversary He is implying is Satan, our accuser. When we stand before God on that Day of Judgment, Satan’s accusations will not stand because of how Jesus Works in us.

It is through Jesus that all is Forgiven. Have you surrendered to Him?

We will continue  be looking at the Sermon on The Mount. Although,  we need Jesus to bring us back into A Relationship with God The Father, The Sermon on The Mount deals with Heart Issues which is what we should look at when learning to have that Relationship with God.
If we are to please God, we need to allow The Holy Spirit to set us apart. We need to pursue a sinless life. We are to seek Righteousness. How do we do it? Through prayer, study, fellowship, being willing to be corrected/accountability, discipleship, and service.

It starts with Our Relationship with Jesus. If you don’t have a Relationship with Him or you need to rekindle that Relationship, do it now. Call out to Him and seek his Love and Forgiveness. It really is as hard or easy as you make it.

We should look to Him daily to seek a relationship with Him. I want to encourage you to seek Him today, if you haven’t already. If you need help, have questions or need direction in this regard, please, feel free to let me know.

Maybe today you are struggling with something. Maybe you may have found yourself not as close to The Lord as you thought. We would like to help you in this through prayer and guidance.
