Have you ever been upset with God? . . . Ok, I mean actually angry. Something did not go as you thought it should. Perhaps a relationship ended that you wanted to flourish, perhaps a friend or loved one did not receive the healing when you prayed so faithfully that it would happen. On the other hand, is it that He seems so far away when you need to feel Him so closely? Have you felt forsaken by the God Who asserts to love you?
Remember the cry of Jesus from the cross, “My God, My God! Why hast Thou forsaken Me?”
Our LORD Jesus understands our varied feelings. His promise, “I will never leave thee, not forsake thee.” (Hebrews 13:5b) Today, right now, do not be afraid of sharing your deepest hurts, disappointments, sorrows, and questions with the LORD. Part of prayer is the freedom to let go of the anger that builds inside you. Even if you cannot find the answers for all your questions, you need to know that God is with you in your confusing state.
So, in prayer, walk boldly up to Him and receive what He is so ready to give, take the mercy, and accept the help. “Come unto Me all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28) He truly loves you! Pray On!
