And pray that we may be delivered from wicked and evil people, for not everyone has faith. 2 Thessalonians 3:2
Pictured is Albuquerque Police Chief Mike Geier, I beleive the city is headed in the right direction under his leadership along with Mayor Tim Keller. I am so very thankful that Mayor Keller appointed Geier as Chief. I also like what I see of District Attorney Raul Torrez.
I have had two good conversations with Police Chief Geier, he is a very calm man who chooses his words carefully. He is very committed to the task of fighting crime in Albuquerque. My friends on the force tell me good things about the Chief, I am so very encouraged. I beleive the transformation of Albuquerque has begun. I have not met DA Torrez, but he certainly seems to be a very determined individual.
With all that said, 2017 saw increased crime ABQ Journal Story
Here is my post from yesterday…..I am an old newsman, starting in 1978 at the Minnesota News Network, I see an American Public that has short memories, I want to repeat the serious problems Albuquerque and New Mexico are facing. We need to face these problems. We must not make them political issues, politics has sunk New Mexico for years. Both parties have buried this state in misery. The Republicans screamed that Governor Susana Martinez would turn this state around after the disaster of Democrat Bill Richardson, but nothing has changed. Jesus is the only answer, it is up to us to see that.
We here at FGGAM pray everyday for the state of New Mexico. We pray for an end to the violent crimes against children! Satan is having his way with many. Our children are being killed in satanic ways. Politics will not solve this only JESUS, a REVIVAL!
Here is the state of the spiritual condition of New Mexico and America………
Chuck Colson said before his death, “The American Church has turned into a High School Pep rally”
A spiritual relationship heavy on emotion but light on theological education falls short. Since so many have retained very little teaching, their understanding of the Lord will be limited.
Why is the World full of evil?
“So I tell you this, and insist on it in the Lord, that you must no longer live as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their thinking. They are darkened in their understanding and separated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them due to the hardening of their hearts” Eph 4: 17, 18.
The Scriptures call the mind of the natural man “blinded” 2 Cor. 4:4, “depraved” Romans 1:28, “corrupt” 1 Tim. 6:5, and “unspiritual” Col. 2:18. The natural mind thinks from a humanistic, sin-debased viewpoint. The viewpoint of the flesh directs its thoughts. The sinful mind is under the control of Satan and can never please God because it concentrates on things of the world and not things of the Spirit. The natural mind walks the road of hopelessness and self-destruction.
Pastor Jerry McCullah posted this last night…..this is the only true crime prevention plan…..
Oh, it did not look like it … not at the beginning! Jeremiah Lanphier had been passing out handbills, announcing a “Prayer Meeting” at the North Dutch Church on Fulton Street, downtown New York City during the lunch hour from Noon till 1:00 p.m. It was to include “singing, prayer and exhortation – no one to take more than 5 minutes” or a bell would ring to tell you to stop and let someone else pray.
At noon, September 23, 1857, he climbed the stairs to the room on the Third Floor where the meeting was to be held. He knelt at noon and began praying … ALONE! Ten minutes later … still alone … 20 minutes … alone … 30 minutes into the prayer time and he heard the door downstairs open as one man climbed the stairs and without saying a word, joined him on his knees to pray … then another … then another … until by 1:00 there were six men in prayer. SIX MEN … and it began with just ONE! The next week, there were 20.
“By the first week in October the meetings were being held daily and the number increased to FORTY. By the fourth week attendance averaged over ONE HUNDRED with many under conviction and inquiring how they might be saved! New York was to see a great need for God when on October 18th, a financial panic seized the city, collapsing the economy into a brief but steep recession. ‘The Fulton Street Meetings,’ as they became known, soon filled all the rooms at the North Dutch Church and spilled over into the nearby John Street Methodist Church. Soon many other churches were opening their doors at noon and before work in the morning. Even police stations and firehouses opened their doors to meet the need for places to pray. Within SIX months, TEN THOUSAND businessmen were gathering for prayer daily! Although the revival was the most spectacular in New York City, businessmen’s prayer meetings sprang up in many cities around the country. Within the next two years approximately ONE MILLION CONVERTS were added to the churches of America.” (Excerpt taken from “The One Year Book of Christian History,” written by E. Michael and Sharon Rusten, Tyndale Publishers)
Are we ever going to stop our flashy, showy, Christian entertainment in the church in America today to ask ourselves “WHY?” … why, if we are “doing such a great job” in our “Contemporary Worship Services” in America … have we not yet impressed the heart of God … that He would “visit” us again in God empowered REVIVAL andSPIRITUAL AWAKENING?!
To quote Leonard Ravenhill … “The one main reason WHY there is no heaven sent REVIVAL in AMERICA today is because WE ARE CONTENT TO LIVE WITHOUT IT!”
We do not deserve it … but oh, wouldn’t it be awesome to see God exalted again in America, with millions giving their heart and life to Jesus Christ … the only source of forgiveness, freedom from sin and eternal life! Oh LORD, hear … Oh LORD, come, visit, move … REVIVE and AWAKEN … FOR YOUR GLORY!
Here is the ABQ Journal Story on the crime and education poll.
Here is a post I did on Sept 21st about New Mexico’s top educational institution and its falling enrollment and horrible ethics…..
This drop in enrollment does not surprise me at all as the University of New Mexico has failed to uphold ethics. It is an institution that is full of problems. Everything from the abortion issues to such bad behavior in the athletic department!
God does not approve of such behavior. The people of New Mexico are paying a deep price because of this dysfunction that just goes on and on. Sadly, it seems that many in the state just accept this. But, hey, most voters in the state now support legalization of marijuana! New Mexico is going down a very bad path!
This is my post from Sept. 7th of this year……..
UNM is suffering from corruption……..has been for years…..
Thomas a’ Kempis said, “When Jesus is near, all is well and nothing seems difficult. When He is absent, all is hard.” Jesus is absent from UNM and that is why things are so hard and there is unethical behavior at this tax payer supported institution.
When you kick God out..chaos occurs…..it is very sad, very heart breaking the road UNM has been on…..
And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people. Ephesians 6:18
I posted this yesterday afternoon but have added an update from the Albuquerque Journal below……….
I am thankful that New Mexico Attorney General Hector Balderas is holding UNM accountable. I appreciate that AG Balderas does not care if a person is a Democrat or Republican, he will go after them. It is about time UNM be held accountable!
The dysfunction of this tax payer institution must stop. What a poor example for our youth and all of us. So many ethical infractions over the years. They educate our children?
KOB TV reports:
A report released by the New Mexico Office of the Attorney General details what the office calls the flagrant abuse of transparency laws by University of New Mexico officials.
Two reports for you including the Journal update…….

I do not know what to say……sometimes I am just speechless of the actions of UNM. Thomas a’ Kempis said, “When Jesus is near, all is well and nothing seems difficult. When He is absent, all is hard.”
It appears to me that the sanctity of life is at the bottom at UNM. This University has more ethical problems that I can count over the years. The dysfunction at UNM just keeps going and going….nobody stops this dysfunction, it is a tax payer supported institution that runs amok. The problem runs very, very deep, the question I have, is why do the people of New Mexico put up with such a mess? MOST not ALL Democrats and Republicans seem to ignore this ugly stuff at UNM and make politics out of it. Politics is not the answer, JESUS is!
Shame on UNM
