Many of us will read a passage in our Bibles and think we are ok for the day. The thing is, reading the passage is not all we are to do. We are to allow it to sink into our hearts and minds. It is supposed to be used to transform who we are. We are to put it into action, not just go stagnant in our lives.
Are you applying what you read and learn from the Bible Today?
Lord, we know that we are to lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save our souls. You want us to be doers of the word, and not just hearers, otherwise, we deceive ourselves in thinking we’re doing everything You want us to do. We have learned that if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror. This person observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was. But when we look into the perfect law of liberty and continue in it, and is not a forgetful hearers but become doers of the work. This is how we will be blessed in what we do. We don’t want to think we are religious, and not bridle our tongue and deceive our hearts, because this religion is useless. You have told us that Pure and Undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world. Please, help us to be doers of Your Word and help those who need it (Taken From James 1:21-27)

If we are to please God, we need to allow The Holy Spirit to set us apart. We need to pursue a sinless life. We are to seek Righteousness. How do we do it? Through prayer, study, fellowship, being willing to be corrected/accountability, discipleship, and service.
It starts with Our Relationship with Jesus. If you don’t have a Relationship with Him or you need to rekindle that Relationship, do it now. Call out to Him and seek his Love and Forgiveness. It really is as hard or easy as you make it.
We should look to Him daily to seek a relationship with Him. I want to encourage you to seek Him today, if you haven’t already. If you need help, have questions or need direction in this regard, please, feel free to let me know.
