Jesus said, “You will know the truth and the truth will set you free.” John 8:32
This is especially true when it refers to becoming free from the power of any addiction!
Addiction can come in many forms, it’s not just tied to a substance. Either way an addiction can destroy a family as quick as a hurricane. I believe that at the root of all addiction is pain. Pain that has been left unattended. I also believe that the only place for freedom from it is at the foot of the cross.
An addiction has been likened to a tornado. When the tornado is over you come out of the cellar to asses the damage that’s been done and often time the damage is irreparable. The good news is that there is redemption for every addiction at the foot of Calvary.
-So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed. John 8:36
So hold on, because when Christ Arose from that grave, He took the keys to addiction with him!
