I used to be the biggest worrier I knew. One day Robert told me that I NEEDED A worry tree to hang my worries on. I laughed & replied, “I would weight it down with so much…that I would kill it & then I would worry about that too.”
NOW this is funny & a bit serious, because if you have ever worried about anything, you know the weight of a worry that steals your free air in your soul.
Then one day, I realized that Jesus is my “Worry Tree” & … I can’t kill Jesus!
A right relationship with Jesus is where pure joy rests in our soul.
My husband was telling me last night how He was about to give up, BUT he prayed & tried ONE MORE TIME & he accomplished success to remove a bolt that was seized on my Dad’s/ now our brother’s old backhoe. He said, he couldn’t do it alone, he was praying all the way. And God helped him! 5 hours LATER, he was about to give up, BUT one more time & that bolt was freed up!
What does this have to do with anxiety? Doesn’t worry and anxiety RESEMBLE this bolt SEIZED around our heart?
Why did the bolt need to come off? To get in there and repair what was leaking. Jesus wants to help you like this, by getting the TRUTH in your heart and replacing worry WITH Trust in Jesus, which is Trust in God, which is Trust in Truth.
May I encourage you, we need Jesus every day & as we grow, the more and more we see how much we need Jesus! What if Robert would have quit before that last turn?
THE GOOD WORD IS JESUS!
Speak (JOY) JESUS (Truth) & talk to Him a lot. JOY is consuming the KNOW that Jesus is BESIDE you in difficulty & when darkness tries to work worry in your heart.
How? SEEK GOD 1st & recovery will be added.
Get your Word from God.
There is a Verse I am just coming to understand, & when we receive this, we will never be the same!
To consume Jesus? His ‘Flesh’ is The Written Word of GOD & His ‘Blood’ is The Living SPIRIT of God in WORD, Spirit & Truth.
WHEN Revelation Word comes by God’s Grace & we get a Word of Truth from God, Jesus in us takes that worry, IF we are willing to give it to JESUS & are willing to lean on Trust in God.
FATHER, I pray for the person reading this. Please lift & comfort their soul.
Trust in God like this happens! It is a God Thing! It is time that I share this with you! God taught me to trust HIM in an instant!
